YogaDirect Deluxe Mexican Yoga Blanket

I have two high end Mexican yoga blankets that cost $75+ dollars. These are not those but for the price they are great. They are not quite as thick, but thick enough. They fold well for sitting and supporting and are soft enough to comfortably lay on. They hold their shape well enough. And the color is vibrant. While the good blankets are worth the price, these are a great, affordable substitute and great for traveling.

I ordered this because the photo showed it with beautiful turquoise and blues. What I received has no turquoise. It looks like every other yoga blanket. Quite disappointing. Quality seems fine.

I looked around for weeks trying to find a good blanket! I need it for my yoga class so I was not trying to order a crappy one and then have to waste time sending it back! I got a lot of mixed reviews and many other companies seemed to weave theirs very loosely. There were a few mixed reviews on this product as well but it was the best I could find so I gave it a shot. It just got here and I am so excited! The color is spot on with the picture. It is tightly woven and I would say true to size (I'm not going to measure it out). It does have a little scent to it and it is a little rough but I'm sure a nice little wash will take care of that. And seeing as how I will be sitting on it most of the time, the texture doesn't matter as much!! If you need a yoga blanket..this is the one to get!! Low price and great quality!! Do it :)namasté

I have dozens of Mexican blankets, but this one is my favorite— no contest. It is large enough to wrap around your whole body (or mine, anyway- I’m 5’3”). It is thicker than most, which makes it great for yoga. I like to fold it up and use it in place of yoga blocks or rollers, but it is thick enough to use as a mat, as well. I purchased the gray pattern and it is beautiful! The blend may be high in acrylic, but it is woven in such a way that it is still very soft. I have not yet tried to wash it, but I would imagine a cold delicate cycle would be best and drying on low or no heat may be a good idea. The blanket comes packaged with a link to care instructions.

I haven't tried to wash it yet. But when I do I will use the handwash cycle of my washing machine and gentle cycle of dryer. If there are any issues I'll update this review but I don't see why their would be. It's not perfect but I feel like I got what I paid for price wise. It's soft and pretty and works wonderfully for my yoga practice. MUCH better than using those foamy yoga mats I used before. I love how I can fold it up and throw it on the arm of the couch for storage. It's pretty on the couch and easy to grab and spread on the floor. And it opens even wider for use as an actual blanket. But I use it by keeping it folded in half length wise to the size of a yoga mat.

Nice thickness and quality. This blanket will also keep you warm, whether it's for savasana or anything else. I keep one of these in my car for emergencies, and I've used my yoga blanket as an extra layer when I've been sick.I would have preferred 100% natural fibers, but this blanket seemed like the right quality for the price and I've been very satisfied. My only complaint is that when it's new, it sheds a lot. I made the mistake of putting one of these blankets on the couch for a little while and it got little fuzzies all over.

Great colors, pattern, and quality. Medium weight with a tight weave, very durable. I purchased several of these as throw blankets to have on hand for guests as we gather around our outdoor firepit.

Surpassed my expectations by a mile. There is NO pilling, NO strange order, only extremely soft fabric detailing a beautiful design. This is very large and has a nice heavy weight to it. I bought mine to use for yoga classes, and while it is great for that, it's size and heavy weight may be just a bit too big for assistance in my yoga practice, but I will have a million other uses for it. If you're looking for more support while stretching or to help hold your yoga poses this blanket is definitely for you!

Lovely colour and very durable and comfortable. It has bobbled a little bit over the last few months.

I paid almost twice for this blanket than others out there, firstly because I wanted brown and secondly it stated it was an extra heavy weight blanket, which I took as better quality; hence the price.When the blanket arrive, the quality of the weaving is beautiful, for sure, but it seems to bearly weigh no more than 2lb. Very thin acrylic thread seems to have been used.I really wanted a brown blanket with this pattern and this was the only one I found (and the fact I live in the UK and paid import duty), otherwise I'd send it back.

I love my blanket, I have used it to keep me warm and as a yoga Matt. I would not travel without it now. All my friends comment on how lovely it is.

I love the colour (purple), size, and warmth of this blanket. It looks just like the ones you find in yoga class. I would have liked it to have a bit of a tighter weave, as I stuck my finger through one part of it by accident (but it was not ripped). It’s also soft, which is nice when I am all snuggled up in it.
