Our cat was engaged from the start. I put two treats in each hole, pushed one aside to show her the treats and then slid the cover back to hide them. It took her a few minutes of tapping before she nudged it but then she got several in a row. It's fun to watch her figure it out. I only bring it out now and then so she doesn't get too used to it. Quality is fine... Caps slide easily. Arrived clean. Very pleased!

Our cats get excited when they see us loading treats into this puzzle! They all want a turn to play. It's challenging enough that they have to work at it, and they don't get bored.

This product slowed my cat down— a LOT. Unfortunately, it’s because he’s not a “digger”: he was able to figure out within two feedings how to move the well covers with his paws, but still went in nose first for the kibble. After those two meals tho, he was almost unwilling to use it. Normally he loves chin scratches and face rubs but he was ducking every single attempt after the two uses: I think he banged up his snoot trying to eat from the little wells. This is a great product— it just isn’t right for my boy.

This is my dogs favored treat toy. He has really gotten a lot of use from it!

I've never gotten any "puzzle" type toys for my dog before so I wanted to start off easy. She is medium-large so a lot of other puzzle toys seemed to have too small of components for her paws, but this one is perfectly sized. Sometimes she struggles to move the pieces with her paws but can use her nose and it still works. I wanted something to keep her busy that also yields a reward, since she seems to get bored easily. She loves doing her puzzle every day now.

The media could not be loaded.  Our chihuahuas have always been toy snobs. They have just refused to play with them for years!! But they do love their treats!! We also needed something to help our eldest because he recently had emergency surgery to remove 1 of his eyes, so he is now completely blind and deaf. This is a great way to teach him to use his senses to get around or to depend more on the sense of smell and touch to help him figure things out.What a thoughtful way to get all of their little minds running and keep them from sleeping all day!! They now run back and forth all day as long as they are full!! Lol We have 2 other toys like this. We plan on getting more. Fantastic idea for the pet that refuses to play!! A+++

The holes are small enough that your cat is meant to fish the treats out with their paws. But the product doesn't have any sort of anti-slip feet on the bottom and the plastic isn't heavy enough to provide any resistance. My cat wants to engage with the puzzle, but it just slides around all over the place as he tries to fish with his paws. If you're using kibble, it can get stuck underneath the rails too so you may need to help dislodge it.

This is the first puzzle we bought for our dog, and it seemed very intuitive for her. She learned it quickly, and we have moved on to more challenging puzzles. But she still gets this one in her crate when we have to leave to go somewhere, so that she doesn't freak out that she doesn't get to go...It's nice that it rewards her quickly, and that she will continue to search in the cups again and again to make sure she got everything! I tried putting a little wet food in it to make it more work for her, but that was hard to clean up. So we stick to dry treats only in it. It is holding up extremely well to her "digging" at it!
