NYLABONE GIANT ORIGINAL FLAVORED RING BONE DOG CHEW We are owned by a five year old Greyhound, Kisser, and a ten month old Whippet/Heinz 57 mix, Diego. It was time to get some additional toys in the house for these two to share and to satisfy our puppy's lust for chewing/destroying. This NYLABONE GIANT RING CHEW is awesome. Both Kisser and Diego have been working at this ring and love it. Not only do they chew on it, they also play with it. They throw it around, push it across the floor, and smash at it with their paws. Diego, the puppy, has shark-like/vampire-like teeth and he loves to chew as most puppies do. He is into fine linens, pillows, blankets, tissues, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper big time, but this giant ring seems to satisfy those cravings. It is sturdy, heavy-duty, and keeps both dogs interested. Kisser is willing to share, but not Diego so we got both them another NYLABONE too just to keep them [and us] happy. Not only made for fun this ring discourages destructive chewing, fights boredom, and helps clean teeth and freshen breath. It is recommended for dogs up to 50 pounds. You can hand wash and dry to keep it looking good. At the bottom of the package is a graph that starts with GENTLE CHEWING STYLE and works it way up to EXTREME CHEWING STYLE. This ring is for EXTREME chewers. Kisser is a gentle girl and chews like a lady. Diego? Dang, he's like a chain saw but this ring stands right up to him and his nasty little teeth. It's fun to watch both of them play with this also. I like NYLABONE products as the packaging comes with directions and recommendations. Plus, they are made in THE USA and that's always a plus in my book. Your satisfaction is also guaranteed; if you are not happy with the product you may return to NYLABONE for a replacement. We are happy, Diego and Kisser are happy, so it's a win-win situation.

We've been buying Nylabone products for decades and if you're reading this review then chances are like, us your dogs are in every way family. That said I have found Nylabone products to be overall exceptional and most importantly safe. Especially if you have hardcore, aggressive chewers. The Souper bones and giant Galileo have been long time favorites of two Old English Bulldogs - they last a good long time and we discard them when they show signs of fraying and wear. Our youngest Elvis, recently had major surgery to remove a piece of rubber toy from his intestinal tract. An awful ordeal and harrowing experience. How he got this toy we don't know as the only rubber toys we give them are Kong my hunch is he came across something in the yard or park. So we will be even more diligent when it comes to choosing toys with the utmost care. For some reason I had never tried these Nylabone rings, so I purchased two of them and talk about an immediate hit! Both our dogs LOVE these virtually indestructible chew toys. The shape is sensational, both of our guys use one paw to hold the ring on end and chomp away. Also great for a little Human fun as you can grip on end of the ring and have a little Tug-O-War time which our kidz adore. These are a great size for any medium to large dog, they're intrigued by the shape and again, are NUTZ over them. The rings are made of the toughest Nylabone polymer and have held up amazingly well. Highly recommended. 5 PAWS UP!

This thing is amazing. I got it one evening after sewing yet another toy that my very active chewer had destroyed. This thing gas lasted a month now, and after a ton of chewing he can still easily go another month with it. As you can see in the photos that he enjoys it very much, and offers it to me on a regular basis. He can play tug of war, hit you in the head with it, even flip it backwards on his face then whip it around hitting everything in sight. My personal favorite is the "bull nose ring" that hangs from his mouth as he offers it to you only to drag you across the room. UPDATE: APR/17/2016: I cant believe it, this thing is still going strong. He has lost some interest in it, but I think maybe some of the flavor is gone, or he is just frustrated that he cant kill it. He still chews on it nearly every day.... he has had this for nearly 150 days (5 months)... still plenty of mileage left! I'll be buying him another one just for him to have something new, not because it needs to be replaced.

I have bought these ring Nylabones for years, and all our dogs love them! They are strong, durable, and last a long time...so they are a great value! We have had large dogs...and small dogs...and the medium size of these rings works for all of our dogs. The ring shape is very easy and accessible for them to hold between their paws while chewing. They don't smell like anything to me -- but our fur babies must love the taste because they chew them all the time. They do chew off some big pieces from time to time that need to be thrown out before swallowed -- so I do recommend supervising and monitoring while chewing. These bones are quite hard -- so I can also see how this could be too hard on the teeth of some dogs -- particularly older dogs.

My dog chewed his first one for months, and he's a big chewer, munched it down to less than 1/3 of a circle. He liked it so much I bought two more. Due to how long they last and the low price, I really can't think of a better deal when it comes to chew toys. Do exercise caution and consider trimming the ring when bitten through as needed, to prevent the dog carrying the partial ring so it could stick in the eye. One of the few chew toys that could work with dogs from 30 to 100 pounds, due to its design, the texture (not super-hard or flakey when bitten-- the nylabone "fiber" has a smooth surface, but breaks off into small pellets as advertised, and the chewed bits become attractively rough and good for teeth.) Good for hard and soft chewers alike. Not super-heavy, which is nice if your dog likes to drop toys near/ON your feet, too. Would rate this 10 times over over the nylabone dinosaur toy, which is heavy, spikey, hard, and splintery. Sorry, Nylabone.

These are the BEST! I have two border collie mix babies (brother and sister) that I adopted from the shelter. These 2 are the sweetest little chewing machines. The good news is that they don't chew up things they shouldn't - only dog toys/bones (they're very smart), the bad news is that I bought and tried EVERY chew toy/bone for them, even the ones that said they were designed for chewing machines. None of them worked except for this one. I even bought 'indestructible' antlers which I was told could not be chewed up. My little darlings devoured them within 2 hours and it caused gum irritations. My dogs love to sit with the Nylabone ring and CHEW. They hold it upright with their front paws so they can chew it (I told you they were smart). They are able to gnaw at it and it gets all bumpy and they even are able to crunch the ring and flatten it a bit, but they don't ever break off pieces and it doesn't hurt their teeth or gums. I have bought many of these and replace them when they get too flattened and bumpy. I could have saved a bunch of money if I had found these first.

For the price, this can't be beat. I keep coming back for more once my dog (an 80+ lb. Golden) get's through a side, which takes a long long long time. I also have a smaller (not small by any means) Lab who doesn't really care for this one, but the golden uses it almost like a pacifier. It's chewed on multiple times daily for long periods of time and this dog is tough. He goes through most toys within minutes, this one will last months. My dog is 2 years old now, and I have ordered 3... that's how well this stands up. I keep this one in my wish list so every few months or so I can get a new one. SO worth the price. Only one word of caution: This toy after constant chewing will get rough and when you aren't paying attention where you are walking, this can be a little painful on bare feet. Not really an issue if you just watch where you walk.

I have a akita puppy, most would look at him and not consider this large breed to be a puppy, he is a large with his weight being over 50lbs at 4 months but I've been researching chew toys for his teething stage. I used to be a huge fan of Nylabone and purchased their very expensive toys for my dog regularly. They have seemed to be sturdy, they last forever(sometimes depending on the type/flavor) and this (for me) makes the price tag reasonable because I have a strong chewing dog with very sharp teeth, however this one broke down into small chards nearly choking him at some point. I really think nylabone needs to catorgize their bones more precisely on type of dog, size and maybe even breed and would provide a more satisfactory and safety guide for dog owners.

Doggie loved it instantly. But it does tend to peel off in layers on chewing, which may get eaten up. However info says its non edible, so don't know how safe it is finally.

The only bone he doesn’t chew through! We have an aggressive chewer and don’t like how he can get bits off other Nyla bones. This ring doesn’t allow him to get and chunks off. Have bought a few of these so both dogs can have one-even though they only want the one the other has lol

My labrador absolutely loves this toy - she prefers it to any other nuylabone and will sit for hours just chewing away. It does last for about 3 or 4 months but that is it being chewed for a long time every single day. She got attached to the point that we have to replace it whenever she chews it right down to a stub. It's not been available for ages so she's been without, and it's finally back! I'm sure other dogs will have a similar love for it so it's definitely worth a try! With this seller (Vitamin Chaps); this got dispatched on the 4th April and I don't yet have it 6 days later, so don't get it if you are in any rush to get a chew toy for a dog who's destroying the furniture! It's not a problem for most though, so not a big worry :)
