No, they do not smell the same. I've bought my husband the Jovan Sex Appeal and although I didn't mind it, I really prefer the Jovan White Musk. Many of my friends comment on his cologne and he gets a big charge out of our friends coming up to him to "smell" him.

how long does the smell last on your body ?

Very light and lasts a few hours.

It IS a light masculine scent. If you use this fragrance, it will NOT announce your entrance into a room. You have to be very close to have someone notice your are wearing it. That could be very good.

is clove or citrus fresh better??

Hi there, clove would be better, but Jovan change something in the fragrance that's not what I was used to. I've been using Jovan for over 40 years. I don't care for it anymore but Amazon wouldn't return it. I'm now in the market for something else. Good luck with yours.

Great Masculine SCENT Young or Older

I had Purchased this for my 34 year old son. My Son always had loved the Scent of my Uncle's Cologne (my Uncle is my Sons "Great Uncle") My Uncle Always Wore Jovan Musk AfterShave, so I thought I'd buy it for my Son and Suprise him. This Truly Meant a lot to My Son because My Uncle Now has Passed Away and All My Son has Left are Memories but, Now he has the SCENT of Him at ANY GIVEN TIME! It's Truly a Very Masculent SCENT, Definitely Manly, Nothing Feminine about this SCENT. I think that is what my son liked about it! It Also stays with you ALL DAY! Long lasting Scent

Lasting scent! My Husband wears this to work and smells amazing all day even when he gets home!!! He gets so many Compliments at work, when we go out. This his signature Scent!! And yes he has other expensive scents but they dont last as long as this... Maybe an older scent BUT Try It! You'll Love it! Hope they don't Ever discontinue it.

Smells nice, but not the scent of the original

This Jovan Musk smells nice but they've reformulated or something because it's definitely not that Classic Jovan Musk scent. In fact, it is so different that if I hadn't purchased it from the Jovan store, I would have been sure I had been duped by a knock off. After some research as to why it's so different I was persuaded that they just changed the scent to "update" the profile. I'll wear it. I may even grow to like it. But I wanted the Classic Jovan Musk for Men scent and I didn't get it.

Have loved him wearing it for over 44 years now.

I buy this for HIM because I kind of think it was the clincher when we dated, to marriage. I LOVE this odor and I don't know anyone else who wore it when I was dating. And it's lasted 44 years! Oh, I love the man who wears it, but this just keeps me snuggling his neck when he has it on. I remember one guy I dated back in the day who smelled like some insecticide. This Jovan just has some kind of aroma that I absolutely love.

Smells great and is long lasting.

USPS practically destroyed the shipping box. It was crushed and partially torn open on one end. Thankfully the aftershave glass bottle was undamaged. USPS has become unreliable, either late or broken, or not received at all.Jovan Musk smells great IMHO.
