This is a beautiful little dog coat, well made and amazing value for money. Appears to be waterproof, albeit not actually used yet, but if any problems I'll update my review in due course. Not too thick, which is good because my little fur baby does have a lovely thick coat, albeit fine hair, but given he's only a little longhaired teacup chihuahua, he is very close to the ground and he certainly feels the cold. This coat feels like the lightweight coats human get, which have internal insulation and I'm sure it will give adequate warmth and comfort. The design is lovely and cheery for December wear and the build up to Christmas. The sizing is fairly accurate and whilst it's a little large on my dog, this does allow for easy and quick zip up etc and I love the double metal lead loops on the back, doing away with the need for a separate standard harness. Amazing value for money and definitely recommended. Based on sizes quoted a small should have fit my longhaired Chihuahua but I was worried the sizing may have been inaccurate, so ordered in medium to be on the safe side. Based on the actual fit of the size medium, a small probably would have fitted my dog, but may have been just a little on the short side, so I prefervthe looser fit of the medium.

I bought the large size and at the moment it is a bit tight on my 6month old cocker spaniel. However, she is very much in need of a haircut which is scheduled for next week so I'm hoping it will be a better fit then. She will have grown out of it by next winter but I will be able to pass it on to an animal charity. For anyone debating what size to go for, my puppy weighs 7.7Kg, which was the information I was looking for when I was trying to decide what size to buy.
