Is it super smooth..?

It is not as smooth as I’d like. The top is metal and sometimes my house gets stuck and doesn’t roll smoothly. “L”

Are these sturdy, good quality?

This is excellent quality! I have had this pad for a little over a year and it is still in perfect condition. It both looks and works like originally purchased. I initially bought it for use on the California Bar Exam and it worked well with no issue. I have carried it folded (slightly) in a plastic bag and it immediately returns to its original shape. Definitely recommend!
