It is definitely not 100% effective at covering everything, so don't expect the exact same results you get from chemical dyes.* Is it messy? Yes, and you need to apply it more frequently. I used to dye my hair once a month, but now I have to do it every two weeks with henna (touching up the roots only).* How do you prep and apply it? It is important to mix it with boiling water and leave it on for at least 1 hour (2 hours is better, and 6 hours is the absolute sweet spot if you have the time).
