The Jury is Out
I purchased this because each year the beetles get to my peach tree before I do. I was looking for an organic solution that would enable my family to finally enjoy our peaches!I purchased it a couple of months ago. In spite of it not being a Prime item, it arrived quickly. Warning: the nematodes are actually too small to see with the naked eye. I cannot honestly say what was or wasn't in the packaging. The instructions were quite simple and application was easy peasy.Peach season is upon us and I hope to know if this truly worked or not in a few short weeks. If so, I have plans of peach pie, peach ice cream and just good ol' peaches to enjoy whole. It's been 10 years and it hasn't happened yet but I look forward to updating my review once I can comment on the end result. My current 4 star review is for the fast shipping, simple instructions and ease of application.

Worked well for indoor fungus gnat infestation!
I bought "1 million easy spray indoor formula" to rid my home of what are described as "fungus gnats". Fungus gnats are tiny flying bugs that lay eggs in the moist soil of house plants. The product was shipped with a cold pack as the Nematodes need to be kept cold. I'm assuming this is to keep them dormant until use. I kept them in my fridge until I had a chance to use them. (Don't keep them for too long as they do have an expiration date!) I mixed the product with water as stated by the directions. I had way more than I would need to use but I was happy to pay the $9.99 to be rid of these pests! The down side was that it took about a week to fully work after application and it made the infestation worse before it totally took them out. I am happy to say that it has been a month now and I have not seen even one of those annoying gnats! I would totally recommend this product to anyone with an indoor fungus gnat infestation.

AMAZING solution to garden pests
I had a serious issue with caterpillars (evil baby moths and their white moth eggs) always ending up on my plants. These tiny caterpillars would devour entire mature plants overnight. And with seedlings they would just disappear. I would go out to my garden several times a day to manually crush moth eggs and kill caterpillars. I sprayed spinosad in my garden but a neighbor's sprinkler always washed it off some of the plants at night. So I quit spraying the spinosad and I used the nematodes. I have not had one issue with caterpillars or moth eggs since I got the nematodes. I stopped spraying the spinosad. My neighbor also stopped watering our gardens for us. But all in all the nematodes are really doing an incredible job at protecting the gardens. I used them in three separate raised beds. I've had success everywhere I've used it. If you have a similar problem, based on my experience with this product I would recommend giving it a shot. The product arrived with a small refrideration packet to keep it cool and instructions on how to get the nematodes in your garden. They come in a tiny packet and they don't look like worms or anything. They are microscopic. If you follow the instructions it takes very little time and it can be a miracle in your garden. Best wishes, fellow gardeners and death to all caterpillars!

Expensive, doesn't go far, ineffective on fungus gnats outdoors
Note that although 1 Million nematodes sounds like a lot, per the instructions this only covers maybe 40sqft. For the price, it seems excessive. Also note that there's cheaper on Amazon, I discovered too late. But the real killer? They seem ineffective on my fungus gnats outdoors. Not sure if I spread them too thin, or they got washed away, but no change in the cloud outside my window. Too bad as I had high hopes to use something "all natural" rather than a pesticide. Permethrin was finally the only thing that worked for me.

Wasn't able to get rid of fruit flies in vermiculture composting (may not reflect on product quality)
I purchased these in an effort to get rid of fruit flies which had colonized my worm farm (aka vermiculture composter). I added the nematodes in two batches, and although I think I saw a temporary reduction in fruit flies, they did come back within a week or two. So, this didn't end up being a solution to my problem. However, I know this isn't the primary use for nematodes.

Real live worms!
Worked great, took care of my potted plants' fungus gnat problem. Since I didn't have a ton of houseplants I passed the remainder to a friend.I actually took some to work to look at them under a microscope, they really were live tiny worms. Gross but effective.

Very happy!
These worked to get rid of our gnat problem on our indoor plants in just a few days. Used on house plants as well as herbs, tomato, pepper plants. Did not harm any of them. The gnats have not dared to come back. Very happy!

I use these each year in my vegetable garden to help control flea beetles and other pests. While it does not completely eradicate the problem, it does help substantially and so this is part of my organic gardening repertoire.
