Q: Is it made in America? Is it cast or forged?

As it states in the description, its cast. Its a high quality stainless steel, but because its stainless steel, it won't be a forged item. I've handled several pieces of the M48 line and they definitely feel heavy duty and battle ready.

Q: Anyone know a knife sharpener that would work on the blades for this?

There are persons, maybe fine carpenters, I know they sharpen the pricey drill bits they have, I don’t know how they do, I think it’s by hand, using a round or fine File.

Q: with the clip how does it attach to the boot and is it secure enough to stay on

I don't clip it to my boots. Too big to be comfortable. But it stays very tight on my backpack.

Very sharp point, needs a sharpening on arrival for the blade edges.

Very nice weight and seems very sturdy ....tip is extremely sharp but the blade edges are not sharp at all, can slide your palm down edges with force without a paper cut sized slice....but I did sharpen it and it holds a edge nicely. It's mainly designed for stabbing in a self defense situation so not being sharp on arrival wasn't a deal breaker because a wet stone can fix that....you will lose some of the blue color after sharpening though.

Bad workmanship on sheath

Just got mine today and had it on for maybe 30 minutes and the sheath came apart. The strap that holds the knife in came out of the rivet that holds it on the sheath! Not happy at all!

Brittle and weak. Definitely not virtually indestructible, false advertising

It snapped like twig from being dropped. Not quality made by far. I wouldn’t use it unless your prepared for it to break. Easily…
