Touch Screen Replacement Parts Digitizer Glass Assembly for Ipad 4 (A1458,A1459,A1460) + Professional Tool Kit （Black）

Worked great to replace a broken screen on my parent's iPad. Fairly simple repair if you're tech minded or can follow the many online tutorials or videos to show how to replace.Only thing that could use some improvement is the adhesive that holds the glass onto the iPad frame...only a thin strip around the frame and did not adhere very well in the corner where the cables connect the screen to the system board.

This was my first attempt at replacing an iPad screen. I went into it with low expectations both for my abilities and the quality of a non apple screen. I have replace a few iPhone screens so I am not a total moron but close to it.The included instructions were not the greatest but like many others, I watched a few videos and looked online for tips. The hardest part was getting the old screen off because it was shattered but a little patience with the heat gun and it was off. I had a little difficulty by the WiFi antenna but lucky for me, I did not destroy it. Just be careful by it, it is just to the right of the home button.Once the new screen was on i nervously powered the iPad on and to my utter shock and amazement, it worked. Pretty much perfectly, I must say. The screen is not as sensitive or precise as the original but it's pretty close. In fact it is probably the best I have seen. I would give it about a 95% accuracy rating and if you have ever used an iPad with a cheap screen, you know what that is like. For the most part, it is about as good as the old screen was before it's demise.I would definitely buy another if my clumsiness persists.One small thing, I did get a speck of dust underneath and I noticed it about an hour later. Just for grins, I tried to pry the iPad apart and I was able to do so pretty easily. Maybe the adhesive needs a little time to really get stuck. I the case I have will surely hold it together. Maybe I didn't press it together hard enough, but my intent was not to break the new screen so it will be totally fine

Purchased this screen to obviously replace my cracked screen on my iPad 4th generation. I had to replace it a few years ago, and had really liked the screen I had purchased then, unfortunately it wasn’t available anymore so I decided on this one. I was kind of bummed because the only option was black, and I had a white iPad, but this seemed like the best option, so oh well. I get my screen and immediately set to replacing it. Like I said, I’ve done it in the past, so it took my less than a half hour to do. One suggestion I have is to use a flat magnet to hold your screws while you’re working because they are small and can get lost easily. Also, find a YouTube video to help you out because the included instructions are pretty confusing. I replaced the screen without any issues, but upon turning it on, the home button wouldn’t work. I then ordered a replacement from amazon, which was quick and painless, but annoying because I had to leave that screen on until the new one arrived. In the meantime, I turned on assistive touch and gestures to make the iPad functional. Today the new one arrived, and I set to work replacing it again. The home button, though a little stiff, is working just fine, and I have a functional iPad again. It’s nice that the screen comes with the home button and bezel as the last one I had didn’t come with either. The reason for only 3 stars is because of the problems with the first, but also because the second screen seems ok but it’s not even close to OEM. It isn’t as smooth, not as bright, and the screen seems to not respond as well. Overall, it’s an acceptable, affordable option for now, and I’m hoping it will hold up over time. I will update the review in the future if needed.

Look on youtube for tutorials for ipad 4 glass removal and replacement. Watch the whole video at least once, then watch it again and pause as you do each step. The pros can do it in like 10 minutes, but it took me over an hour - at least in part because I didn't start with a video to give me tips like heating the edge of the glass with a hairdryer or heat gun so it would loosen the adhesive.The instructions that come with this product are printed on a piece of paper and in TEENY TINY font. I have good eyesight, but it was so small that it was difficult to read. That being said, I was able to remove the broken glass and get the new screen on. Also, the glue and frame that does under the screen itself is a PAIN to put on. I would recommend getting a couple of pairs of tweezers and slowly removing the adhesive covering papers as you put it down. once it is down, its stuck.Do I think this is the same quality as the original screen - nope. I am expecting it to crack. But, every time I have had my screen replaced by professionals that charge $100+ to do it, its also a weaker screen that shatters if you sneeze in the same room. Money saver, yes. Good as new not quite

I gave this kit to my computer guy to fix my ipad. Unfortunately, I dropped my ipad just before taking it in and it could not be repaired. The kit had everything needed to repair my ipad had I not dropped it. I did not even try to do the repair myself. The directions were in an extremely small print and there were a lot of them and many points of extreme caution suggested. I took it to the people that do computer repair, etc. for me and they were confident this kit would be fine...except I did a little more damage to it and they could not fix that part of the equation. I watched a number of youtube "how to" videos when I thought I might do the repair. No way.The kit has the tools needed and arrived on time and would have made the difference which is saying plenty good about this kit.

1. Screen works great. No complaints.2. Adhesive was ok, but had to use a 3rd party adhesive to get it so fully seal. Could use some work here.3. These screens are a pain to get all the glass and glue off. Knock on the device, not the replacement screen. Iwas gonna knock off points, but its the fault of the design, not the screen replacement. Once the device is clean,its actually pretty easy to install this replacement. So gave it a 5 instead of a 3.

This is a good price and good value.. I installed this for a friend. The touch screen is very responsive and the glue on the back is good.

Good fit for ipad4 but have to apply extra adhesive to stick properly. Got a week late but its ok if product is good.

The product is perfect ! But I’m not lol ...I ordered the wrong one. But am about to order the right one now from the same seller. It arrived quickly and everything that was inside was great quality. They even supplied a coupon for my next purchase which is a huge help considering my mess up. Will definitely leave another review when I have the right one installed.

My ipad sat in my room for over a year untouched until I finally ordered this. It was easy to install and works perfectly thanks! The only problem I had is the adhesive on the bevel would stick to the tape instead of the plastic itself but other than that it works perfectly.

Quite happy with the purchase! I've replaced quite a few iPhone screens over the years, and this came with one of the nicest tool packs I've seen. It also comes with English instructions, and packed well.
