Like other users the lack of any glass parts means that hopefully this jug will last me a looooooong time. Although the capacity is marked as 800ml that is filled ALL the way to the very top so that the liquid reaches the pouring spout. It would not be possible to make this much coffee as it would spill when you plunged. Rather, the usable capacity is a good 700ml of coffee which actually suits me well.The jug is so much lighter than, eg the Robert Dyas 1 litre version I looked at in store. That one was really heavy when empty and wouldn't suit me for that reason. I suppose the upside of the heavier jug MAY may be superior insulation over the Amazon version I have.As a test I left half a jug of coffee in the pot for 2 hours after which the temperature was best described as tepid. However, in daily use I am unlikely to need more than 15-30 mins before needing my second mug. In short I like this and recommend it (subject to what I have said above).

2-3 cups of lovely hot coffee. The pot is beautifully designed and looks so good. I have the small, medium and large pots. Cleaning the filters are always a little messy but that can’t really be avoided. An excellent purchase.

I bought this one because I have a tendency to break glass. It works perfectly. It does not keep the coffee warm for long but, otherwise, it is perfect for me. I bought 800ml and have an extra large cup. It's good for 2 small cups or 1 extra large mug. You cannot fill it with 800ml of water.

Bought this French press to take camping, instead of taking a glass one. Really sturdy, non breakable and very easy to clean. Keeps the coffee good and hot. Only problem wish I’d bought the 1 litre version instead of 800 ml but just have to refill it. Well worth the money and very practical.

Very good quality and a pleasing, clean design in stainless steel.The size is perfect for two cups of coffee and the unit takes up much less space than the traditional 1ltr version.Also, it's much less vulnerable than a glass caffetiere and keeps the coffee much warmer while it's being prepared.
