"a little teapot, short and stout"
The cobalt blue teapot is thick enough to keep the tea warm all the way through breakfast. It makes almost 16 ounces of tea if you use loose tea. It has a classic teapot shape -- fat body, energetic handle. There are, of course, better teapots if you want to pay more. I like this one so much I also got it in the mustard and hunter green colors. They add a cheerful note to shelves when they're not in use.

Teapot is too small.
This teapot holds only 2 MEASURING cups of hot water to the brim. I do not get 2 cups of tea, only 1 1/4 cup. I add about 1/2 measuring cup of hot water to my cup before pouring the brewed tea into it. Otherwise, I like the shape and it is a pretty pot.

Holds a nice 2 cups
This is a lovely a little teapot for a single person because it holds a little bit more than 2 cups.

A teapot
It's sort of like the old-fashioned brown-Betty teapot that is so famous in England. This says it's 2-cups but they must be small cups because I barely get a cup-and-a-half out of it. Much smaller than I'd like. I had to buy a bigger one.

I is just the right size for my morning tea and sturdy enough to survive a lot
I collect teapots but this is the one I use the most. Obviously that means it is prone to accidents so this is the second one of exactly the same kind. I is just the right size for my morning tea and sturdy enough to survive a lot.

it's a very pretty shade of blue and nice looking and the handle ...
Does NOT hold 2 cups of water... maybe teacups, but not 16 oz and definitely not two mugs.If you tip it while full, water comes out of the lid.The spout is so narrow that water comes out kind of dribbly. However, it's a very pretty shade of blue and nice looking and the handle is a nice size.

misleading colors and capacity
Don't believe the colors in the photos of this brand's teapots! I bought the "royal blue" and it's cobalt, a true cobalt. I also bought the "yellow" one and it's mustard rather than yellow. The capacity is listed at 16 ounces and the teapot really does hold 16 ounces of water, but it won't hold even a teabag more than that - best to consider it a 12 ounce teapot which is enough for one mug.
