This is a fantastic product. We use it when making Sauce Piquant, Hamburger steaks, and dozens of other recipes. Extremely versatile. Small can with a big bang or flavor. Blends in well with other ingredients. You will Love the flavor, texture and easy to open can.

A staple in my family for 50 years can't eat without it
It isn't like the 19th cent value like it used to be but it sure is the same taste it's always been. It's been a part of my life since I remember ponderosa I used to pay actually get this sauce on my chop steak. I've never been without and I hope that never will be even if it's almost two bucks a can now. Thanks for still making it Georgia Don fresh keep it coming

Oven-Baked steak
I make a cube steak by pounding meat and frying like chicken fried steak. Place in Pyrex. Add a can of beef consumme and a can of Dawn’s fresh mushroom sauce. I can per 1 can of each. Add a can of mushrooms, if desired. I make sure my steak is totally covered. Use as many steaks as you want as long as you use plenty of cans of consumme and Dawn’s. Cover with foil. I like to put mine in refrigerator overnight. It makes everything blend better and makes the steak more tender. It is not required though. Bake covered 325-350 degrees 1 1/2 hours. It is wonderful-even my grandsons can’t wait. I cook with twice baked potatoes, green beans and a tossed salad. Actually, it is good with any sides. I use with everything.
