Works well. Researched so many toasters and hard to choose one bc of all the mixed reviews. Glad we chose this one. Very durable. Easy to clean. The settings are accurate in my opinion. Toasts perfectly according to how you like it. I have tried every setting and they are all good. If one was not easy put it in for more time if needed with zero issues. Easy to clean and store (for me). Love the look of stainless steel even though you have to keep clean if finger prints bother you. Still a clean sleek look. worth the price. Durable and stable enough for countertop.

I purchased this in silver for myself, then bought this one for my daughter. She loves it, for months she called it her baby. It works great. We have had no problems. Very pretty for a toaster.

This is a great toaster. First, I have to give GE plaudits for doing something audacious - telling us the size of the toaster slots. As we all know, the most important thing about a toaster is its ability to fit standard slices of bread, something which a surprising number of them fail at. And that's probably the reason why every other toaster I looked at kept the slot size shrouded in secrecy. This one advertised it as 5.5" x 1.38", and that's the reason I went with this toaster. I tend to get normal pre-sliced grocery store bread, and it's usually just over 5" at the bottom, so a 5" slot doesn't cut it. 5.5" is perfect as you can see in the pictures. As you can also see, the bread was toasted just about as evenly as I could imagine it being. I did read a couple reviews saying they got uneven toasting. But I also saw reviews like that for every toaster. At some point you have to realize that bread is not a perfectly uniform consistency, and it may not be a problem with the toaster, it's just the nature of bread itself. I think the toaster looks beautiful, and the knobs, lever and buttons all feel nice to use as I would expect at this price point. The removable crumb tray is great. This is definitely a full size toaster, significantly larger and taller than the "compact" one I had before. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

We absolutely love the look of this GE 4-slice toaster. It looks great on the counter, feels well made, and is easy to clean. The extra-wide slots are perfect for bagels, bread, waffles, and more, and the 7 shade settings make it easy to get the perfect toast exactly how you like it. Great quality and a kitchen essential we are very happy with!

Not that good for the price. Toasts a lot more on one side of the bread. Looks nice but hard to clean.

I love this toaster so much, I bought a stainless one for myself and my daughter. Very practical with the wide slots able to accommodate bagels and texas toast, and the sleek retro design makes it perfect for keeping on the counter. I've only had mine for a few months so I'm unable to speak to the longevity, but I do love it, love it, love it so far!
