Great product. I did follow a review that suggested to rub off the initial coating and then use the powder. this worked well and provides a pearl like glow that is not overly shiny.

This highlighter is beautiful. It’s an OG staple. I wish they still sold it in stores, but I’m happy you can get it on here. I would definitely recommend buying it.

I love this highlighter. When you first open a new one, the very thin top layer is SUPER shimmery , which is too much for me so I just sort of take my brush and pat it a bit and rub the excess off on a clean towel. But once I knock off the excess shimmer on top , it’s just the right amount and seems to blend in so well for a perfect dewy-looking shimmery glow. A little goes a long way and lasts me a long time and I do a full face of makeup almost every day. I’ve used this same highlighter for like 10 years and don’t plan to change because I like it so much.

Overall I’m keeping this product since it’s get a really pretty not too crazy shimmer. It’s really nice for a night out and blends nicely over blush or eye shadow.I initially wanted a highlighter that came in a compact for travel. This doesn’t work for that. It’s got some darker undertones so depending on your skin tone (I’m light medium olive) it’s not a great highlighter.My other con with it for travel is there’s some substantial holes for ventilation in the brush compartment. You’d probably do okay with a sponge applicator but the included brush is pretty awful. It’s a little rough, sheds, and holds onto product pretty fiercely. Guarantee mess.

Oh, how I love this powder!First of all, I should clarify that I do indeed use this highlighter as my setting powder, rather than an actual highlighter. I'm quite pale, so it works as my powder. I set my foundation or tinted moisturizer, and concealer with this powder.As other reviewers have relayed, once you get past the initial "over spray" of glitter (which I thought was actually pretty for highlighting!), you reach the heart of the powder. There is a mixture of porcelain and ivory tones, all of which seem quite neutral, and just a bit of luminous glow. This shimmer is very subtle, at least on my ghostly 43-year-old complexion, and is very flattering in all lighting situations I have encountered.I made sure to examine my results particularly in bright sunlight, because I don't want the glittery-Cullen-vampiric-sparkle-effect.This powder imparts a healthy luminosity, which simply looks like a hydrated vitality, both youthful and refreshing. (Even my husband complimented my look, which he doesn't often remark on my makeup. My adult stepdaughters both told me that I look so much younger than their mother - I told them we will keep that as our little secret, so as not to hurt their mother's feelings.) After application, I set with the Nyx Dewy Finish setting spray, and my faux vibrancy looks radiant until I wash my makeup off at bedtime.

It was too shiny for my face.

The product is great, delivery took 3 weeks which was a bit excessive as the seller is in NY and I am in NC. The product was what it is promised to be and works well in providing a nice shimmer that easily blends in with blush and foundation. To open the compact's 2nd level you have to practically break the lid by pulling it all the way back so that you can then get a knife to wedge the mirror and brush open. I am pretty savvy at opening things so whomever designed it needs a different job. Getting to the makeup is easy though, it is getting the mirror and brush on the 2nd tier of the compact that you have to be careful. I ended up watching a Youtube video on the product just to figure it out as there is no clear way to open it on the 2nd level and it is glued down so you sit there thinking how do I open this without forcing it? Basically you have to force it and you do risk breaking the powder when you do, so be careful. The Youtube video I found showed that you push the top lid all the way back and break part of the plastic (you hear it snap) and then you wedge a knife in to pop it open. Once it is open it is easy to get into from there but again, the design is for the birds to first open it.
