Decent for the price but randomly turn off
I wanted some basic RGB lights for ambient lighting at my computer and these fit the bill. However, when in use they will randomly turn off. I have followed the troubleshooting tips with no luck thus far.

Exactly what I was looking for!
The media could not be loaded. I wanted to add a little more light and color to my desk area so I got these to mount on the back of my monitor. They came with an extra roll of adhesive tape, but I didn't need it as the adhesive backing on the strip itself seems more than sufficient. This strip was long enough to go around 3 sides of my 24" Widescreen monitor. You have to do a little finagling and folding at the corners but it worked fine. The corners naturally stick up a bit but you'll never see it behind the monitor. Bright (just right, in my opinion, and even at the brightest is not TOO bright) and colorful. You can select one of 7 preset colors or put in in various color shifting modes. Now, most of the modes are useless, in my opinion, as I can't imagine why anyone would want jarring, flashing lights behind their monitor, but I ended up using the mode that slowly and gently shifts through the colors. You can also set the speed of the modes, and I went with the slowest. My only real complaint, which is very minor, is that there is no documentation anywhere that I could find. They are simple enough to operate, but I would have liked to see a list of the modes rather and clicking through them all one by one trying to figure out what each one was.Instead of plugging into the USB port on my monitor, I plugged into a USB adapter a couple of feet away so that I could turn them on or off using Alexa and a smart plug. There's not a lot of length to reach an outlet though so be prepared to either have an outlet within a couple of feet or have an extension cable of some kind (either electrical or a USB extension).Overall, I'm totally happy with them!

Disappointing for the price, but service makes up for it
Vansky® Bias Lighting for HDTV USB LED Strip Multi Color RGB LED Neon Accent Lighting System Kit for Flat Screen TV LCD, Desktop PC (Reduce eye fatigue and increase image clarity) There really is no merit to these lights that can't be offered by other/cheaper alternatives. For the amount you're paying, you can get an entire roll of the exact same lights (plus with remote control) from other brands that aren't offering a direct USB plug in. Plugging in the USB directly to TV, and having them work together is nice, but because the cord is short on my 50" tv, it barely even emits any light. And then the colors themselves are odd. For single color, you can choose from yellow/cyan/magenta/white(ish) and maybe one more. But if you do the ecstasy strobe lights you get true reds/blues/greens. You can't just set it at solid blue. But perhaps the biggest disappointment is that the "white" is not really white at all. It has a very blue-ish/green tint to it. I considered buying the Luminoodle (https://www.amazon.com/Luminoodle-Bias-Lighting-HDTV-Backlight/dp/B01BKU7B7I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1470935297&sr=8-2&keywords=led+strip+tv) alternative, but this had better reviews. Now I wish I had.EDIT August 16: a few days after posting my review, Vansky's customer service team reached out to me and offered to do what they could to make up for my dissatisfaction with the product. They had offered to replace the lights for free, or refund me for my purchase if I had chose to do so, and promptly followed up with my requests. So the bottom line is that even though the product wasn't for me, or that I might have even received a funky light, that stuff happens, and the true colors of a company comes in how they handle when a faulty item falls through the cracks. Vansky handled things promptly and professionally, and to me, that speaks the most about the product.

Good lighting but they don’t stick well
I purchased these to put on the back of my computer and they didn’t stick at all and I cleaned up the dust from myComputer. They were constantly falling. The lighting was great though and I liked that I could change the colors with the remote.

Great Idea, But Couldn't Make it Stick.
I like the Concept and the Idea of the LED lights, they put out a good amount of light, and the color spectrum is good. However the big problem is that it just will not stick to my TV. A few days after I put it on, I noticed that one side of the light was lower than it had been before. I looked behind the TV to see that half of it had fallen off. So I put some clear packing tape on it and put it back up. A few days later it fell down again. I don't know if it is the glue (3M) and my TV's plastic, the heat that the TV puts out or some combination of the two, but the strip will just not stay up. Prob would not purchase for other TV's. If they fix the glue problem would like to try it again.05/14/2016 Update:I was contacted by a representative at Vansky, they apologized for the negative experience that I had. They said that the problem with the unit not sticking properly was due to a manufacturing defect. They have sent me a new unit and I am currently in the process of testing it out. Will update in about a week.05/25/2016 UpdateWell it has been a little more than a week and I am happy to say that the Light strip has not fallen off yet. Updated the Review and raised it by 2 stars. Try it out everybody.

love the lights but don’t stick the best
the lights are great but the adhesive strip would not stick so if you get like 2 sided tape it works way better

Not as pictured
From the photo, I thought the strip would cover 3 sides of the TV, it doesn't, its a single strip. Luckily that one strip is bright enough to light up the back of the TV. I recommend using a secondary adhesive. Before applying I made sure the back of the TV was clean but the LED strip fell within minutes.

Satisfied with a unique and simple to use product
The price has jumped 20% since my purchase which made me drop the one star, it is a "fun" thing to add to your tv and it definitely does make it easier on the eyes and more enjoyable to watch in the dark. The actual light part of the strip is 35" and there is the 3 button controller on one end of the strip, the usb chord is very long and can be wrapped up, I have it on the back of my 60" tv and am only using 20" of the usb cord and there is much more to spare. On my 60" tv it seemed quite small with just one light strip so I have a second one (one on the top and one on the bottom) and it looks much better. The only downside is if I choose a pulse setting the two strips will eventually get totally out of sync after a few minutes no matter what I try. I was going to buy the white light version but was glad I splurged for this RGBW version because it was worth the extra $5 just for the novelty, and there is a white setting you can still choose if you don't want to be flashy. A downside is there are no instructions about how the settings work, although there are 3 labelled buttons that make it not that difficult to figure out. The main point they emphasize is to clean and dry the surface that you will be sticking the strip to. I also made the mistake of initially pulling away the double sided tape from the light strip just removing the protective cover on the outside so be aware what you are pulling at when you install. One of my leds had the green light burnt out which affected the color, I emailed the company directly (not amazon) with pictures and had an immediate response saying they would send a new one and I had updates along the way telling me when it was shipped and even a check in after to see if I was happy with the new version - this was great customer service! The only downside is I realized my 3 pc monitors and my other LCD tv don't have any USB ports! So I will have to look elsewhere for a product that works with an AC adapter, otherwise these are highly recommended and simple to use and 35" would be more than long enough on most TVs

Amazing product!
I have always enjoyed LED lights in my rooms, the glow and colors they make are absolutely beautiful. However, I have been VERY disappointed in the past with other companies and their products.I bought these lights with the expectation of failure, but was INCREDIBLY happy with their results!I was shocked to see this product arrive so early, and inside the box had everything you need to get started. The remotes already have batteries inside of them, and the lights come with an extra roll of plastic to place on top of the sticky side of the lights for when you need to store them without running the adhesive.A single remote was able to control two sets of led lights, which are on opposite sides of my room which I find VERY useful. I have one remote on my bed side table and another on my computer desk. Both of the remotes work perfectly and as previously mentioned, both are able to control the lights at the same time.Sometimes the lights do get a little un-synced, but it is a quick and easy way to get them to re-sync again. All in all, I will be buying more of these lights to complete my room! Very excited.

I had been skeptical, but I'm very glad I got these.
Yes, I'm pleased with this. Seems well made, works really well, easy to adjust the light pattern / color / brightness. Good adhesive, even comes with extra adhesive strip if you need it. I am very lucky, and have a beautiful 78" curved SUHD 4k tv, and I got 2 of the Vansky light strips which was just perfect. One would not be enough (too short), but two certainly does the job. Before purchasing I read other reviews, and someone else gave a useful tip that I will add again here: Instead of using ALL of the adhesive strip to permanently glue this to the back of your gorgeous TV, use scissors to cut the paper backing into small strips and leave most of the protective paper coating on the adhesive - just cut out small intermittent gaps so the adhesive bonds to your TV in smaller little dashes. The adhesive is very effective, and sticks really well, so that way if you ever need to remove the strips - you could actually do so!! Hope that makes sense - I have had my 2 Vansky light strips on our TV for about a month now, and we really like it. They do work, our viewing experience is better, the room looks great, although I was skeptical of "backlighting" the TV it really does make a positive impact on the experience. Our home theater is even better than it was before. It's a funny thing, I had no idea it could make such a positive difference, I read an article on the website "Lifehacker" about why backlighting your TV is a good idea - they were totally right. I can definitely recommend these.

Pretty much what you expected...
Pros:-Sufficient brightness, with adjustable brightness levels/adjustable speed levels.-lots of modes (seven color fade, gradual fades, jumps, flashes,...)-single color mode, with 20 different colors on a RGB gradient-the LED strip itself is sufficiently long in my case. I have two 22-inch monitors and it is enough to backlight both. I also bought an additional to put under my desk.Cons:-Perhaps the USB connector isn't long enough, unless you buy a USB extender, you might have some issues finding a close enough USB port to plug into-this is trivial, but the buttons on the controller seems a tad little bit hard to press, but it definitely doesn't belittle the product at allOverall:I am quite impressed with these LED strips. I don't see a lot of these products on the market, so I cannot compare it againstanything; but for the price I think it's worthwhile investment. As for the 'eye-fatigue relief' claim, I can neither confirm nor denyits fulfillment, but it will make your room/space look much nicer; especially when the room is darker and has gloomier lighting.(PS: I didin't trim my LED shorter, but remember if you want to- trim on the white vertical lines)

Pretty Aesthetic Decoration!
I have a 52" TV in the basement that I'm going to be using primarily for movie use. Placed this behind the TV near the top and it looks great! Thus far, I've only experienced a strange problem with the programming - if I set it to the rainbow dissolve effect at a specific speed, it will go through only one cycle... then it will transition to the next effect on its own. I've since discovered the "correct" speed for it to function so that the transition doesn't take place. For small TV's, this strip would be great at illuminating the entirety of the back of the TV. For TV's at the same size and larger than the one I have, the strip will only illuminate whatever side of the TV you place it on, which I'm fine with.I've heard some people having problems with the adhesive that comes with the strip. I haven't used it yet - I just taped the strip to the TV using a strip of duct tape, and it has yet to fall down. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.
