A rough read
What a great set of books. Bought as a present for my 7 year old book worm, he loves the feel of the pages, and the books are a good size for small hands. The rough cut pages add another dimension to the joy of this book series.

Amazing set and amazing deal...I got for 2195... box was not on great condition on arrival and Quality of pages cutting are 2 things lot of users will complain..I agree on that but even that gives a cool rusty look.. Coming to content I don't think I need to review...

Excellent series for young readers
My daughter watched the television show series and was then interested in reading the first book. We started looking for the rest of the books at Indigo but found the whole series online at Amazon.caI think the only thing that would make this set better is if it came with a carrying case or a box that you can store the books in.This series is full of adventure and is recommended for grade 4-6 readers.

Lovely books and illustrations
Great books, very well written and lovely illustrations. If you are familiar with the series you will know that the story itself is a bit repetitive, however the way this is written compensates for this, with an interesting lexicon, paradoxical situations, dark humour and frankly quite a few well summarised life truths - such as when you are in misery most of your social circles disappear. My 10 year old is reading fast through the whole series and so am I.I wanted to get the audio version too, but it is unfortunate that it has music and noises in the background and whilst some listeners may appreciate that, I find them disturbing, so I didn’t buy them after listening to the sample.
