Works like a Charm
Around mid september my switch lite's battery just started draining for no reason. So I ordered this replacement and it works! I think the battery life is increased but I can't tell because of how long it was before I used it but I get about 5 hours on SSBU with full DLC with this so I'd say so. For a first time opening a console like this they make sure its very beginner friendly. ONE THING TO BE CAREFUL OF THE ADHESIVE ON THE SWITCH IS REALLY STRONG, I ACCIDENTALLY BROKE THE VOLUME STRIP TRYING TO GET IT OFF, KEEP THIS IN MIND. I think they did include adhesive strips themselves but I can't tell and I ended up just letting the battery chill, so if I shake it I can hear it but its not even an issue in the slightest. One bonus of this is that it doesn't feel like the battery overheats! So I can actually leave it run for more than an hour.

Better than the original.
This was the second battery we purchased with the first one lasting more than 3 years of daily use. Outlasting the original battery is a testimate to battery quality. The capacity is supposed to be greater than the original. I'm not sure it really makes a difference. It is was easy to install with the. tool kit and a video. The tool kit is pretty much a onetime use kind of thing I wouldn't call that great quality but a good value to be included.

Easy fix to short battery life
Previously ruined my switch lite battery from keeping it in a drawer all of college. Started playing recently and it would die within a couple of hours. Now I can go like 6 hours playing with the new battery. Charges fast and fit my switch lite perfectly. 100% would buy again if I had to. Looked up a yt vid for tutorial and had no issues.

Good at first, but only lasted a few months
I've seen plenty of good and bad reviews of this, but let me say in terms of the tools, they're fine but if you aren't pretty handy with things you probably shouldn't be taking an electronic device like this apart. I had no trouble with installation. The battery started out great, but it only lasted a few months, now at a full charge the device drains the battery in about an hour and also the device has started glitching, which is a common issue with defective batteries. I purchased it in mid-January, my daughter didn't use it much during school, but she did use it some so I know it was working well. It's now June and it's junk and already needs to be replaced. I'm not sure if these replacement batteries are worth it if they need to be swapped out every few months.

Perfect fit and works great! Was at 98% when i put it in!
The battery works great! They give you tools you wonโt even need, and you definitely need a small crafting spatula to remove the Nintendo battery because there is thick adhesive holding it in place. The most difficult part is prying that adhesive loose to remove the defective battery but once you get it out it the rest is easy. If you struggle to see definitely have a magnifying glass handy because all screws and such are super tiny and hard to see. I used medicine cups to hold said tiny screws. Also the spatula thingy they include will snap apart the first use, use a flat head screw driver to pry the back off after you remove the screws, much easier. Be super careful when removing the old battery because the wall around with break easily...i snapped off a tiny corner but nothing that would render the switch lite useless. All in all...great purchase for the price!

Not precisely easy to do, I suggest instructions and many deposits to put your screws
Whereforth there exists a plethora of options for batteries, this one is atypical for coming with so many screw drivers, alas, Nintendo doesn't have an open specification for their architecture designs and amongst other failures (for as good of a system it is, proprietary and somewhat expensive.) I had to buy a battery since mine faultered at % and memory of ions, so I received it a day later and decided to do it without instructions (BAD IDEA) since it is small and purported easy on the web. I propped open the case with my plastic swindles starting from the bottom openings, easing and least resisting my attempts to open it, but it took so long since I was being careful, finally opened and took me another 2 hours to do all of it. I couldn't believe the battery was impossible to take out it seems, I had to use my metal spatula to finally detatch it from my board. Very screwy and scary, so much so I am still afraid of damage, but I barely chipped the casing around the battery when prying it off. Overall, my Switch seems in working order surprisingly. And I suggest using thermal tape for computers since it's used as heat dissipator but double taped and thick like foam. No rattling, and here I am waiting to play Tetris! Make sure you watch the video instructions before, some of the screws are too small to distinguish as well. 4/5 and maybe a better way to get that battery out more easily... ! Also, the thermal tape for CPUs works great on heatsinks like this one. A lesser temperature is less fan time = more battery time.

Half the life of original nintendo battery
Short story: This battery is not recommended. It does work and it charges to 100%, but I only get on average about 3-4hrs of play time, compared to the 6-8hrs I should get from the original Nintendo battery. Long Story: I should have done a bit more research into my Switch lite console. One day it started draining 1% per 15 seconds. When charging, it did the same thing 1% per 15 seconds. After trying a couple restarts and even shutting down completely and letting it set for a couple minutes, then turn it back on, it was still doing it. So I assumed the battery just randomly went bad, happens right? Well I replaced the battery with this one and it still did it. Turns out it was a glitch in the system in how it charges the battery. I factory reset the Switch and sure enough the quick charge/discharge stopped happening and it went back to charging and discharging as it should, but with this I removed a more than likely perfectly good battery so now I have to spend more to find a better replacement or fit the bill and buy an OE Nintendo Battery. I gave it 3 stars because it does work and it does hold an OK charge, but if you travel a lot, it's not going to last you on an airplane, or long car ride, though a car ride you have easier options of keeping a charge from the car where a plane is a hit or miss on what type of plane your on and it offers the proper ports to charge. Yes an external battery is another option, but thats not the point here.
