Review: Easy to install and good value - Very pleased with this camera, I have 4 Tapo plug sand because they have been trouble free I decided to try their security camera, fitting was fairly easy, the supplied drilling template was not suitable as the wall it was being mounted on has a rough surface so it would not stick, but apart from that the set up was easy and did not take long, I fitted a 125gb micro SD card to record incidents, it used in my porch and covers the area very well, you get notifications when movement is detected, mains powered, looks good and easy to control with the Tapo app.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Hi, Is the Wi-fi built in, or do you need an adapter?**
A: It’s a built in wireless wifi.So it’s very simple to set up.So straightforward.

**Q: What size micro sd card does it take**
A: Any upto 256gb

**Q: does this camera have to be set up prior to being fitted outside or do you fit the camera to your chosen location then set it up.**
A: I set mine up before fitting, only because if for any reason you need to reset the camera, you need to unscrew two small screws at the back of the camera to get to the reset button…. Definitely set up before fixing. When you then plug it back into mains it should automatically reconnect to your chosen WiFi

**Q: how long is the cable**
A: Power cable is little bit above 2m.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent value and quality
*by N***T on 31 July 2026*

I’ve had a couple of different cameras over the years and this is by far the easiest to set up, install and use. Set it up on the floor and then installed. It took no longer than 20 minutes from opening the box to being in position and working. The picture quality is excellent during the day, I’ve only received the item today so night time will have to check the quality but I’m pretty confident. Overall for the cost I think this is excellent value and would definitely recommend
