Great game, tactical and strategic, surprisingly deep considering the simple mechanics. Takes a lot of thought, you cannot just play casually whilst not paying attention. One of my favourites

Small asymmetrical 'take that' game with great art and design
If you've played Schotten-Totten, or Battle Line, note that this is not a re-skin, it's a new, castle attack and defense game. The art (as on the cover) is quirky and very nice. The cards are good quality and the gameplay is unique enough to belong in any collection if you like direct conflict in your games. The rules, balance and play all show the impact of strong design and plenty of testing. Although the box 'play time' is 20 minutes, we're always over half an hour because there's so much to think about. Both sides feel frustrated and hopeless but someone is wrong! It's a great, tense feeling coming from a fine small box 2-player game.

Das Spiel war schneller wieder weg als auf dem Tisch
Mit Schotten Totten 2 macht man aus meiner Sicht überhaupt nichts falsch. Das Spiel ist hervorragend gemacht, die Regeln sind schnell verstanden und spielerisch gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Der Grund, warum ich mein Exemplar gar nicht erst ausgepackt habe, hatte deshalb auch nichts mit dem Spiel zu tun. Ich hatte schlicht übersehen, dass es bereits bei Board Game Arena verfügbar ist. Da ich es dort jederzeit spielen kann, war die Entscheidung schnell gefallen. Mein Regal hat sich wahrscheinlich gefreut – ein Spiel weniger, das Platz beansprucht. 😄 Wer das Spiel gerne physisch am Tisch spielen möchte, bekommt hier ein wirklich gelungenes Zwei-Personen-Spiel. Ich selbst bin inzwischen einfach komplett auf die digitale Version umgestiegen, weshalb das ungeöffnete Exemplar direkt wieder den Rückweg antreten durfte. Klare Kaufempfehlung – nur eben für alle, die es lieber analog als digital spielen möchten.
