This doorbell chime and transformer kit worked well for me. The chime is loud and offers different options (ding dong for front, just ding for back) so you can differentiate between two different doors. The two door bell buttons are different, see photos. When I had an issue I reached out to customer service and they responded right away with a great resolution. i love a company that will do that so I'll be a repeat customer. Excellent value for price considering you get the chime, the transformer, and the buttons. I use this in conjunction with two wired arlo doorbells and they system was capable of powering both them easily.

Good quality, decent volume. I would like it a little louder, but it will do. This is being used in conjunction with two smart doorbells and it is performing well. It's not overkill as we don't always have our phones on us at home. My only negative remark is a constant humming 24/7 coming from the unit. It isn't audible until you pass the unit on the stairs or walking through the hallway.

Same chime that came with the house 36 years ago, yes lasted 36 years. I hope I’m around for the next 36.

My first doorbell was a Nutone. A few months ago, it started buzzing instead of ringing. I ordered this Newhouse Hardware kit. While installing it, I found that the transformer wire had been installed on the rear switch terminal, which prematurely damaged the chime. I installed this chime and the 2 switches correctly and my doorbell works perfectly! This kit comes with a new transformer, but I didn't need to crawl through the attic to find the location. The instructions for the chime and switches were super easy to follow. This chime is a little smaller, so I had to adjust its position and make new screw holes. The original holes are visible, but a little filler and touch-up paint will solve that. I especially love that my front door switch now illuminates, I didn't have that before!!

We recently had our house completely rewired, which included installing doorbells at the front and back door to replace the ones which had not worked for over 40 years. The installation was done by an electrician, so I can't speak to that aspect, but I am very happy with the doorbells themselves. I like that there is a different tone for the front and back door (not that the back door one gets much use, but there was an old non-functional doorbell there, so figured might as well replace it) and the sound is just the right volume. The very next day after installing it, I noticed that delivery people were ringing the bell when they dropped things off, and we do get a lot of deliveries so it's been getting a decent amount of use. It's loud enough to get your attention, but not unpleasantly so. I did buy separate nicer looking fixtures to use for the actual doorbells, though. The ones it comes with are just as cheap looking in person as in the picture.

Medium quality. Door bell buttons fairly cheap with no seals. Stripped one screw easily trying to just tighten door bell wires to Chime box.

Easier to install then you think works like a charm. Make sure you check the door bell color before you purchase.

Seguramente en el manejo, algún golpe, hizo los dos remates plásticos sujetadores de una de las laminillas que dan sonido llegaran rotos. Parece buen timbre pero quedó incompleto.
