An instant page-turner! The author shares a poetic and vivid tale of love, comfort, food, and home. It's an amazing true account of her coming of age from her grandfather's home-cooked Filipino dishes to her personal understanding of her cultural identity as a Filipino American.

Gave me insight of different feelings of Filipino kids who grew up in America. Very well written and presented to readers.

Absolutely loved this read! My grandma was an immigrant so this hit close to home. Already lent it to my sister!
