No word on the long term durability, but it was easy enough to use and didn't crack or chip the laminate at all. I barely even had to sand the edges after using it. Highly recommend for flat surface projects like doors! Review: The Teflon bearing makes this worth every penny - I have been using this bit on plastic laminates that are high gloss or are very easily marred from the typical round metal bearing and so far this square/flat bearing made of teflon has been amazing. I havent had any issues with this bearing leaving scars on my finished products. I only wish i knew of these sooner because with the variety if laminates that i work with as a cabinet maker - exhibit builder i havevto work with many fragile laminates. There is nothing more frustrating than having to relaminate something due to a bearing seizing up and leaving marks on finished items. I have had great luck with Amana bits lasting and now with the teflon bit...
