Love how incredibly sharp it is!! Easily slices grapes and tomatoes without tearing the flesh of the fruit or squashing it. Be very very careful when handling these knives though!!! They can chip or break if not handled with extreme care. Aside from that, best knife i have ever had.

Nice knife. Serves me well but I still have my wife's (35 years old) knife I use for heavy stuff. Impressed with the way it handles soft stuff like tomatoes. I might try smaller ceramic knives in the future.

I'm the type of person who loves to present beautiful food creations, even if I'm just presenting something as simple as hot dogs. It's funny because at family get togethers people actually joke that I'd prefer presentation over anything else and it's completely true. I was recommended ceramic knives by a friend who told me they give the cleanest cut lines in food. I was somewhat skeptical, as I've never used ceramic in the kitchen before. I'm very pleased with this purchase and so glad I took her recommendations to heart! Not only is this knife GORGEOUS, it's wonderful to work with. Let me tell you a little bit about this knife. This ceramic knife comes in a beautiful box with a foam inset just for the knife. This particular box design would make giving this knife as a gift a snap, as you can just wrap the box. The knife itself is a real conversation piece. When I think of knives I think handle of any variety and SILVER, metal blade. This knife, though, has a black ceramic blade, which automatically makes it look different and makes people ask about it, which I think is GREAT! It has a very sleek, stylish look to it. The handle is nicely designed and fits right in my hand, no problems. The handle of this knife has a grip to it, which is very important not only for meal preparation but also for presentation and clean cutting. I want to say that the blade on this is VERY, very sharp when it first comes out of the packaging so please be careful when using this. This ceramic knife also comes with it's own little plastic sheath, which adds a really nice look to the knife when it's all put together. This is definitely the kind of item I would be proud to tell people I use in the kitchen. Aside from LOOKS, this knife is extremely functional in the kitchen. There's not a doubt in my mind you can easily cut just about anything with this knife with relative ease. Keep in mind that this is the SINGLE knife. I love this knife so much that I'm actually considering purchasing the whole set from this particular brand, as I know there are 4 or 5 more knives that you can buy to match this one. I think my one and only complaint is that this knife did not include care instructions. I know certain things require different types of care. You wouldn't wash a cast iron skillet with soap and water and you wouldn't use metal spoons on teflon. Just the same I'd like to make sure I'm taking proper care of my ceramic knives and wish there were care instructions included. I will more likely than not contact the seller and see if they've got any insight for proper care of this item, as I urge anyone interested in purchasing this item to do as well. Other than not having care instructions included I'm VERY pleased with this purchase. If you're new to using ceramic in the kitchen as I was, please take at least the small leap and buy a SINGLE knife. I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed. I know I, personally, will probably eventually convert all of my knives to ceramic after seeing how well these do in the kitchen.
