My girlfriend always has cold feet so this made an excellent Christmas gift for her... Now her feet stay nice and warm. Warning, do not get these wet while using, as when they are wet they have the same insulating properties of a normal sock

Best I've Found So Far For Chronic Cold Feet!
Although I don't have an official medical diagnosis, I have some serious cold-feet issues. My feet are almost always freezing. I had an ex-boyfriend who actually used my cold feet against me in a particularly petty fight we were having. (I did say he is ex, right?) Often at night my feet will be so cold, I'll pile pillows on my feet before going to sleep, and this does help, but I'll kick them off in sleep and my feet will become painfully cold and actually wake me up. I've even gone to bed with my snow boots on. I kid you not. (Maybe I should get myself checked by a doctor?)Anyway, these socks are the best I've found so far for warming my feet. They have all the warmth of my snow boots without the dragging weight on my legs and rock salt stains on the sheets. The insides of these are like a fluffy fleece, but not fleece - it's a little hard to explain, but it is super soft and comfortable. The outside is more of a sweater-type material, no grip, but they are a little more slide resistant than if the whole sock was that fluffy fleece stuff. These socks are really thick - like two times thicker than the average slipper sock. To give you an idea of length, I'm a size 6.5 shoe, and when I pull these up, they come to about mid-calf. I typically fold them down in half, which is actually very comfortable, despite the stretch cuff. These do have an overall stretch, so I wouldn't foresee anyone having a problem if he or she has a wide foot.Finally, the warmth is the best I've come across so far. Although my feet will sometimes get cold if I am walking around in these socks (which, my feet do even when wearing slippers or boots), when I wear these to bed, I can almost feel my feet defrosting after several minutes under the covers, in these socks. I actually even kicked them off in the middle of the night last night because my feet were hot - that hasn't happened since the last summer heat wave!Overall, I'm very pleased with these socks. Yes, they are a little pricey, but totally worth being able to fall asleep and stay asleep because my feet are a happy, healthy temperature.
