The process of using the Fiebing's Dye was as straight forward as one would hope, and expect. The only suggestion is to be prepared before beginning as to avoid making a mess of the application, or accidental spillage. The most important aspect of obtaining the best results is to follow the instructions. After having done just that, the results were superlative. The color saturation that I desired was immediatrely appparent upon completion. The most important thing about the process is to make sure you have a suitable suede brush in order to release the nap of the suede after the dye had completely dried. If, for some reason, the saturation of color is not to one's satisfaction, it wouldn't be outside the realm of suggestions to apply another coat of dye. I'm thoroughly satisfied with the results of using this product. Howver, I can only attest to the results of having used the Black dye. I have no idea if similar results would be obtained with the different color dyes that are being offered by Fiebing's. Nonetheless, Fiebing's has an excellent reputation of offering quality products. Also, keep in mind that since it's a coat, I asume it doesn't have lining, the color might be absorbed on the other side too and when you wear it it might bleed on your clothes if the coat gets wet or you sweat. The dye absorbed into the suede like a sponge and therefore needed 3-4 coats. The suede did not become stiff, but I used shoe stretchers to keep the suede from shrinking since the shoes had a pointed toe. The shoes look like they were always black (you cannot tell that they were dyed.) And, the suede is supple.This is my experience. I do not know anything about dying UGGS. Very pleased dye did not change the texture of the suede. Did not get wet or sticky, dye dried quickly and did not transfer to anything else. A nice project. The color was exactly as stated and did not dye my fingers.
