Great Economic SS Tri-Ply Set !! Love them!! Happy Cooking :) :)
I had nonstick cookware for about 3 years and the coating was coming away. I was afraid what that might do and wanted to buy something healthy and last quite sometime if not life time :) After a lot of research, I decided on stainless steel and something that's multi-ply with aluminium (this provides the most even heating rather than copper bottom ones) and economic(value for money). Most available options were way above my budget and this product fell right in place for me. The set arrived on time with the items as advertised. All the sauce pans except frying pans had lids. The three qt sauce pan's lid can be used for covering the small fry pan ; and one of the bigger lids for the bigger frying pan (though it might not sit at the top). Glass lids would have been better but its okay. I was glad that these were oven safe too with the lid - yet to try this though. I have a ceramic top electric stove and have had no issues so far - using them from the last 5 months. Each piece is a little heavy but one gets used to them - they are not drop dead heavy. The handles are made of SS which is a nice thing and they keep their cool even when cooking at high temperatures. You need to be a little careful with the lids though at higher temperatures. Cooking food in these pans has been a breeze - food gets heated up quickly and evenly. I hand wash them religiously FOR FOLKS WHO FIND THEIR FOOD STICKING TO THE PAN : Heat the pan on medium heat a little, spray/add cooking oil and let it smear over the inner surface of the pan. Now, cook anything in it. I guarantee you nothing will stick. Even if something sticks due to over heating, it will clean out very easily. And, if you mess up real bad - pour hot water n soap immediately after cooking and it should be easy to clean. LOGIC : When you heat the metal, it expands a little, smearing oil on that creates a non-stick layer.

Duxtop Cookware . . . my thoughts and experience
This past September I purchased the Duxtop Cookware (hereinafter, "DCW") for a condo in Miami, Florida. Up to this point, I have never owned stainless cookware, but had always purchased and used non-stick cookware, (T-Fal, Kitchen Aid, Etc.). I had been doing some research on Induction Cookware and was intrigued by the simplicity, low-external heat, energy and cost-saving properties of using an induction unit with cookware. So I began researching cookware. I went to the different stores that sell cookware (Penney's, Target, Wal-Mart) and began looking at the stainless cookware that was rated for induction cooking. The amount of choices is overwhelming and I was weary of what I was finding. At the same time, I was looking at the induction units (a different review) and saw an ad on Amazon for the DCW. So I began looking at it and reading the reviews. After looking at the photos carefully and comparing the features to the cookware I was able to touch and feel, I made the decision to purchase the DCW. Simultaneously, I purchased the Duxtop 1800 Induction cooking unit. I HAVE BEEN AMAZED!!!!! When I received the cookware, I was so excited and elated that when i opened the box and made my inspection, the cookware was better than I had envisioned. For example, the handles aren't flimsy like other brands and the cookware is somewhat heavy, has some mass to it, and high quality. Actually, the DCW is better than some of the expensive, name-brand stainless cookware in the marketplace today. For the most part, the review from the folks who were remodeling their kitchen complaining of the noise the cookware made - I find it actually unbelievable as I have never in my six months of using this cookware ever heard a sound when using it on my induction unit. It heats up so quickly and I use less heat to actually cook my food. And it cleans up so NICELY!!!!! If I had any instructions to anyone, it would be the following: 1. NEVER PUT THESE IN THE DISHWASHER - You should always wash this cookware by hand. If you have to scrub something off the bottom, use the blue NON-SCRATCH scrubby sponges (not the GREEN/YELLOW ones) from Wal-mart. They are excellent and won't scratch the surface. 2. USE BARKEEPER'S FRIEND (found in Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Etc.) - this is your best choice for cleaning the bottoms of your DCW (as well as your stainless steel sinks). This stuff is amazing and after you use it awhile, you will find more uses for it. I always sprinkle some in the bottom of the pan after I was it thoroughly the first time and get all the little stains out that are sometimes left behind from cooking. TRUST ME! Cleaning this pans is not difficult at all. You just have to keep up with it. 3. DON'T USE METAL UTENSILS - I only recommend you use wood or plastic cooking stuff with these pans. They won't scratch the surfaces. About two weeks after we had bought the cookware, my college student daughter decided to heat up the leftover mac and cheese that was in the pan (put in the fridge the night before). She became distracted and the bottom of the pan was full of burned mac and cheese. Wouldn't come out. I was angry (of course) but i maintained my composure and used it as a teaching moment without destroying her confidence. To put it another way, I was rather delicate in handling the matter and she responded well to the teaching. Anyways, I put water and soap in the pan and let it soak awhile. I scraped out what I could and then I put BarKeeper's friend in the bottom of the pan along with some water and heated it up - letting it boil and soften up. I used a metal spatula to scrape the bottom of the pan and of course made scratches in the pan, but I learned my own lesson in doing that and am hoping my experience keeps you from doing the same. I love this cookware - I LOVE IT and wish they had bigger sets of it. I would buy this again IN A HEARTBEAT and have recommended this cookware to a lot of people. THIS COOKWARE IS FANTASTIC!!! Buy it and you will see what I mean. HIGH QUALITY COOKWARE. I Promise! Duxtop Whole-Clad Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Induction Ready Premium Cookware 10-Pc Set

Sturdy, well made pans that work well for us
These are the best pans I have ever owned and I say that coming from Scan Pans. My husband and I bought our Scan Pans 9 years ago and they have been degrading for about 4 years. After a ton of research and watching deals, I decided to order these, and I am so glad I did. The pans are sturdy, but not heavy, cook well/evenly, and clean up quite nicely. I took the advice of some of the other reviewers and bought Bar Keepers Friend and it works very well to clean up everything dish soap cannot. I cannot recommend them for non-stick cooking, though. I still use my copper pan for eggs and grilled cheeses. Overall, the price we paid for the quality is amazing and I am so glad I bought these pans. They will surely give me many years of use. I've read so many reviews about people who say these pans are difficult to clean. I made pork sausages for dinner and made quite a mess. I took a picture of the pan, soaked the pan, and then very easily cleaned the pan with a no-scratch Scotchbrite sponge. The photos are attached. The heating a temperature you use to cook with will greatly affect how messy your pans get. As you can see, mine cleaned up very well after soaking for 30 minutes.

Healthy and at an AFFORDABLE PRICE!
What a FANTASTIC cookware set!! I finally got rid of all my pans that had a coating inside. I also got rid of any aluminum pans. The set came in excellent packaging complete with all the lids. The pots and pans are: Thick Bottomed made with gleaming stainless steel, rolled with no sharp edges at the tops or at the heating surface, Lids fit perfectly , Handles are thick not hollow, comfortable to hold and well riveted to the pots and pans, one fry pan even has a second handle for lifting. I have used Duxtop induction counter top burner for more than 10 years and love it! Now with this set, I am able to switch between pans as needed while using my gas stove at the same time! Please do not worry about clean up!! I lower the heat use butter and olive oil, When something is left behind the cooking process, I simply put a little soapy water in the pan, leave it sit in the pot or pan while eating and use an Oxo hand brush to swoosh the pan clean! I also keep Barkeepers Friend handy to wash residue from starchy foods. Overall: They are well made and a healthy alternative to the toxic cookware on the markets!! Thanks for a great product!

Tri-Ply cookware BEATS non-stick hands down for durability!
After much research to replace my mismatched, all chipped and scratched up again after only 2-3 years, non-stick cookware yet again, I ended up purchasing a set of multi clad stainless steel cookware. After much comparison and research on price, number of useful pieces in a set(make sure any set your looking at has pieces that you will actually use!) and quality I chose Duxtop Whole-Clad Tri-Ply SS cookware. While All Clad($504 for 10 pieces) is made in America and is considered the TOP of this type of cookware and it is what I compared all the other sets to. However at way over twice the price of my DuxTop($189 for 11 pieces) and with absolutely NO MAJOR advantage(other than being made in America) that I could find over the DuxTop, I decided to go with DuxTop. I.M.O. DuxTop Whole-Clad Tri-Ply cookware has one of the BEST deals on this type of cookware as of now. Except for "All Clad" as far as I could tell all of this type of cookware is made in Asia. Be forwarned if your coming from using non-stick cookware that there is a bit of a learning curve cooking with Tri-Ply or any other Multi-Clad cookware. While I find Tri-Ply tends to cook much like cast iron(the original non-stick) except that, if your not a little careful(the learning curve), foods do tend to stick a little more in the Multi-Clad and it is a bit heavier than non-stick or aluminum. However, that said, you can cook at lower temps, SS cleanup is relatively easy, SS is safer(no toxins)to use than non-stick, SS will last MUCH, MUCH, MUCH longer than non-stick and it doesn't rust or need seasoning like CI. Research cooking in Multi Clad cookware and follow instructions provided and you will have little or no problems cooking with it. Basically heat your SS pots and pans at least somewhat before you begin cooking. Don't put cold food in a cold pan and then heat to cooking temp IT WILL STICK! Another BIG plus I.M.O. is, other than dollar store cheapy non-stick, when you begin to compare DuxTop Tri-Ply cookware to so called "Top of the line" celebrity endorsed non-stick cookware the prices are VERY compareable! The longevity of non-stick to SS however is not! With a little bit of care you could pass on these Tri-Ply pots and pans to your kids and grandkids! Try that with any non-stick cookware. I am EXTREMELY happy with the quality and price of my DuxTop Tri-Ply 11 piece cookware set! I'm looking forward to using it for the rest of my life and then passing it on.

The best value in a cook set ever. Ever.
I bought this set looking for something akin to All Clad. I've been very impressed. In fact, I've been blown away. I must note that I do not use the induction system, so I am speaking only for its success on an electric range. I also would note that I am in my 40s and I'm a very experienced cook. My style is diverse and I cook several meals each week (my wife sometimes steps in and she agrees with my assessment of this set). Pros: - Affordable - Solid handles that are suitable for oven temps up to 500 degrees F - Very good variety of useful pots/pans/lids - Even cooking throughout - Thick and durable... these pans aren't thin, generic ripoffs of All Clad. They're solid and well made in their own right. - Dishwasher safe, though we generally wash them by hand per the recommendations. - Good fit and finish. Looks very good. Some mentioned it scratches. We haven't noticed it being an issue. - Induction ready, though we don't use this feature Cons - Sticky compared to Teflon. Not suitable for cooking EVERYTHING. Eggs come to mind. This isn't about this set but about stainless as a general rule. - I cook for at least four, often 6-10. I wish I had gotten "one size bigger" in most of the pans though that option doesn't exist. - No griddle, no steamer insert My mom loves to cook with it in our kitchen when she visits. I love it. I did supplement it with a griddle and a new set of Teflon skillets when we tossed the old stuff and bought our new house. I'd recommend it highly to anyone seeking a stainless cook set. I can't understand after using it why anyone would want to spend hundreds more on something that may not even be as good. My brother has All Clad. I love it. My mom loves it. But not one bit more than this stuff. In fact, we both commented on how much more we like these handles. This is the best value set I've ever seen. It's just a lot of high quality stuff for under $200. I really don't know why more isn't being made of it and why so many of us hear the other brand name all the time and nothing about this.

everything stick
I am not happy with these. Just spent 20 minutes removing egg leftovers that were almost impossible to get out. Yesterday my bolognese also got burnt to a crisp in the bottom.
