So, I'm an occasional idiot. An idiot that enjoys a little 'Retail Therapy' shopping on Amazon. So sometimes - and w/ one-click checkout active - I took to Amazon in search of Slip 2000 Extreme Weapons Lube, aka., 'EWL'.I've begun using Slip2k almost solely on all my firearms. I discovered Extreme Weapons GREASE about 2yrs ago, & was so thoroughly impressed that I decided to begin using Slip 2000 EWL (the Extreme Weapons Lube, NOT just 'Gun Lube' made also by Slip2k), too.When I went to order, I became momentarily distracted by my wonderful (and loud) young children, who were having an urgent sounding argument down the hall - so quickly, I located a seller's image of (what I took for) Slip 2k EWL, and clicked the 'purchase' button.My 'One-Click' settings did the rest, and 2 days later, imagine my surprise when this damn 'Gun Lube' shows up instead of my EWL! I was actually pretty pissed off, since I was planning on lubing up and immediately going to take some target practice.I review my purchases, positive that some idiot at either Amazon, the direct seller, or the fulfillment contractor had goofed. But...the idiot was me. In my distraction, I'd pulled the wrong product entirely.Fore-warned is fore-armed. Double check your purchase, because Slips2k's 'Gun Lube' and their 'Extreme Weapons Lube look practically flipping identical either at a glance, or at a distance!BUT - There IS a pretty cool saving grace to my folly. The 'Gun Lube', even though not as super performing as the EWL, is an outstanding product in its own right. I use it on my (many) knives - not simply for lubrication, but also for the blade & body, to protect it from rust, corrosion, et al.It's also excellent lube for locks; as in padlocks, combo locks, and if you've got a sticky doorknob in your house, take it apart and lube the friction-bearing surfaces w/ 'Gun Lube' & it'll work smoothly and effortlessly again.Hinges on both my barn's & my basement's exterior doors (used to) tend to get stiff & even develop surface rust. I applied 'Gun Lube' one time a couple of months ago just prior to our rainy & cold season, and they've remained rust-free and very well lubricated w/ only that single application.All of Slip 2000's products - the lubes, I mean - stay 'wet' for a really, really long time. It's seriously amazing to me how well Slip's products actually live up to the 'hype'.TL;DR: 1). Don't buy the wrong lube. 2). Slip 2000 is legitimately a high-performance, reliable lube.

Best gun oil that I have ever used

Usually I grab motor oil, mineral spirits, mineral oil, Hoppes or Breakfree depending on what I'm doing and what's handy. Thought Slip2000 was a marketing gimmick. But recently traded for a pew that's planted 2000 seeds and looks almost new inside. Asked the seller what lube he uses, he said Slip2000. This stuff is no gimmick.
