Q: 13 cfm is over the top for a minimum requirement...what would happen if I only had 8 cfm?

Hi Jeffrey! Thank you for your question. The 3M 26778 Performance Spray Gun needs at least 13 cfm in order to spray properly. Lower cfm, paint may sputter and inconsistent spraying.

Q: My compressor is 5.4 scfm at 90 psi. What would the scfm be at 30 psi after the regulator? Or is that even the right way to think about it?

I can't say what your compressor will make at 30 psi. I have a compressor that makes 14 cfm at 90psi and it was barely able to supply enough air for this gun.
