Bought these to replace the broken catches on our old cupboards. After installing them on about 6 cabinets, I decided to remove them because they don’t hold at all. The 20lb hold is not accurate. They seem tight and strong when you pull them out of the bag, but once they’re affixed to something with any resistance (such as a cupboard door), they barely have enough pull to stay shut.Installation was a pain too. The adhesive they provide to make installing the metal plate easier doesn’t stick to anything - it’s basically worthless. And it’s an absolute pain to get the protective backing off of each piece.Like I said, I have older cupboards. They’re built differently than newer cupboards and some are a little warped. So these might work better on something different. I, personally, was very unsatisfied though.

The only purpose for the adhesive is to Leeper them in place and aligned while you screw them in. They work great once you screw them in.

Not sure how they get the strength rating but they work as I would expect. Just like the old magnetic clips from the 60's-80's you'd find on medicine cabinets.

Will not dry out in the sunlight

I used these to replace the old magnets in my kitchen cabinets.Probably the most frustrating thing about them is when you go to set the screw in the magnet slots, the screw likes to pop out and stick to the side of the magnet. Some take a few tries before getting started, especially coming in from underneath.They do what they're intended to do so I say, good, not great.

Really nice cabinet magnets. Unfortunately they were not right for my kitchen cabinets but i kept them for other places like the bathroom and they are really sturdy and they adhere really well. Easy to install to! The stainless steel is really nice, even though im sure no one would notice. But i notice. And they look lovely and very sleek, not these old plastic ones that fade and crack in time

Amazingly strong compact magnets for my pantry doors. Tiny screws are a little fiddly to work with but I guess bigger ones would be too intrusive. I predrilled the holes before screwing in place since I was mounting them into oak (lot easier and efficient) Overall would buy again. I’m thinking of getting more to use on my kitchen cabinets too.

The plastic magnet casings for my California shutters became brittle and broke over time due to sun exposure. These metal encased magnets were a great replacement and my shutters close nicely and hold tight. I found them easy to install. I reused my existing screws as I read feedback that the ones that come with these are somewhat poor quality.

Only issue was the 2-way tape was too big and hot rolled in with the screws. Just cut it in half and worked perfectly.

They were simple to install and they did exactly what I needed them to do. Keep my pet out of my cupboards.

Worked good for what I used them for

This product works well if properly installed. The self adhesive strip is a big help as it adheres the the strike plate in the perfect position. Only problem is the screws do not have a counter sink so when you tighten the head is still sticking up a bit. If the screwhead touches the magnet the magnetic force is greatly reduced.It would help also if the screws were square head and not Philips. I used these to replace my old plastic ones on Plantation shutters. They have adequate magnetic force to hold shutters closed but if your shutters are warped you may have to try to straighten them out. Being stainless steel is a big plus
