THERMOS Stainless King Vacuum-Insulated Beverage Bottle, 40 Ounce, Midnight Blue

It's rare that I give a 5-star rating. I want to join all those that say that this is the best Thermos I've ever owned. I used it all day yesterday and today and found that it not only holds more than I expected but keeps it hot all day. The size is great, the insulation is great, the pouring spout is great and I could not be happier with a Thermos than I am with this one. I've had Stanleys (which are also good), wide mouths for soup (which don't get the job done with coffee but are pretty good with thick soups) and I've had a couple of Thermos brands. Thermos has never let me down. Good Job!

I brew coffee in the morning and on my lunch break it's still just as hot. Only starts to lose heat around 8 hours, very impressive. The whole thing is surprisingly easy to clean to. I've had no problems with any leaks, and it fits an entire kettle of coffee.

Great thermos from a trusted brand. It does its job perfectly—keeps drinks steaming hot for hours, easily lasting throughout an entire day. The build quality feels very solid throughout: the twist-and-pour stopper seals tightly without any leaks, and the lid doubles as a handy cup. I was initially concerned that the painted finish would scratch easily with regular use, but the coating has proven to be surprisingly tough and resilient. Very satisfied with this purchase.

This is my second one, Love these flasks, hold a lot of coffee and keeps hot for hours. Comes with a drinking cup for when you are out. Very sturdy and well made. Midnight blue is really black.

We've tested this thermo (stainless steel) for 3 weeks now and so far it has been satisfactory for mom, who came to visit and cannot live without a good thermo (and electric kettle) around (and she's been though many great ones). It arrived with a small dent in the cap but it wasn't a big problem for me to be worth the hassle of returning/exchanging [as photographed]. The look is overall great, matches my other stainless steel appliances. I haven't removed the paper yet as I wanted to test it to be sure. The size is quite giant, 2 liter, which is the largest capacity I found on Amazon, as I wanted a large one. Still was a little taken aback at seeing it. It certainly is not a "travel size" thermo, but for the price, it is a good deal for household use. In my photos, it sits next to a 1.7 liter electric kettle by Royal (the largest capacity on Amazon for its style), the thermo is the tallest counter appliance. The heat-keeping is satisfactory. We put in freshly boiled water from the electric kettle after dinner, and it stays burning hot next morning, and still well above drinking temperature in the evening. This is on par with the good stainless thermo my mom has in her house, perhaps slightly less good than her old-style mercury-filled glass thermo (with a cork plug). One small complaint is (maybe it is only with this particular unit): the instruction says to turn the black screw top half a turn to align the arrow downward to pour, but I find it too tiny an opening (barely dripping) to turn it that little, so I'd end up twisting another full 180 to align for pouring, and oftentimes if the pot is full, tilting the heavy thermo some slight degree would end up splattering very hot water over the counter outside your intended container. Just be sure not to have your other hand in the way as I had learned my lesson a couple of times; the handle is very strong and secure for gripping, with one hand or both, which is a great design in my opinion. Also, I'm not certain as to the material of the black screw top, if it is BPA free or not. Would be helpful if Thermos staff could provide an answer. All in all, we are content with the purchase, and hope it'll have lasting performance.

I've been using the Thermos Stainless Steel King 40 Ounce Beverage Bottle for a week now, guess I can leave some comments on it. I drink Coffee and lots of it. I [strongly] prefer to grind my own beans right before brewing then use my Aeropress Coffee and Espresso Maker . That all works very well except when going to work or on a long road trip. In the case of the former I was packing the grinded coffee in a vacuum sealed container then using a reusable Keurig filter in the machine at the Office. Had 2 be a better way. So I got one of these Thermos's and can't be more happier. It's looks are pleasing enough to set on my desk and not be out of place. It's also very well built and I like that the carry handle doesn't act like it's going to fall off. The only weak link I can see is the cup, which I don't use, but other than that I would imagine you could drop this thing from several stories and it won't bust open. It's big enough to hold enough coffee to last me the whole day yet small enough to fit in my Laptop bag (I have a 17" laptop) with everything else I carry. How well does it work? I have to use my old Braun KF 600 Drip Coffee maker as the AeroPress won't make 40 oz of coffee. I pour boiling water into the Thermos and close it up while grinding the beans and brewing the coffee. When the Drip Brew is ready I dump the water and fill up the Thermos. Seal it up tight and put it in my bag. I make Coffee in the AreoPress for breakfast. Time is about 6:00 AM 1st cup after arriving at work, about 8:00 AM, Coffee is still as hot as when I put it in the Thermos. 2nd Cup at around 12:00 PM measured the temp and it's at 160 Degrees F. 3rd Cup at about 4:00 PM measured the temp and it's at 140 Degrees F. My Contigo Coffee Mug hold 14 oz so 3 cups and I'm about done. I love the unique cap on this thing, just have to twist it enough to allow the fluid to come out but not remove it all the way. That helps keep the heat in. Cleaning the Thermos is a breeze, I just put some hot tap water in it along with a few drops of dishsoap and use a Bottle Brush to clean the inside. Rinse well and wipe the outside down and leave it upside down on the Kitchen Counter to dry. The cap is easier to clean. All in all I'm very satisfied with my purchase and hope this thing lasts. I wasn't looking for something to keep my Coffee hot for 24 hrs, I probably would throw it out. But this Thermos seems to work well for half that time which is about all I need. As an aside, Midnight Blue looks like Purple to me. Go figure.

Keeps your drinks EXACTLY as hot as they are when they go in for an entire day. Honestly, it's shockingly effective. If the tea is too hot to drink at 8AM, it'll be still too hot to drink at quitting time. Amazing.

This Thermos far exceeded my expectations. It somehow keeps beverages hot longer than advertised. The one that I purchased is large enough that I can share some of my coffee with co-workers.
