Excellent you can really soak this paper and add lots of layers amazing for price Anything better is at least 5 times the price and not as absorbant ie Bockingford saunders ect Very good paper does the job surface has a little grain

It's good watercolour paper

This is brilliant watercolour paper for the price. I have tried many others and had lots of problems. This paper is ideal for watercolour.

I've bought this particular brand several times now, and very likely to buy again in the future. My wife and I have been taking watercolour classes for a few years, so we actually use it ourselves. Nevertheless, this is the view of a couple of amateurs, not professionals. That said, we're well beyond the beginner stage, and feel qualified to know whether it's any good or not. It's super thick, with one smooth and one crinkly side, and it's cold pressed - which our teacher advised us to get. We get excellent colour saturation and pigment migration. The crinkly side is medium-rough - we know some people prefer it rougher - but it suits us. It's glued along 1 edge only. At this price point, it represents excellent value-for-money, so as long as it continues to be so, we'll be buying again.

I attend a watercolour class. I buy A4 size paper for any paintings which I do in class but the paper is expensive so I buy this smaller paper for testing colours etc, etc. It can also be used, obviously, if I am painting something smaller. The paper was excellent quality and I thought this pack of 3 pads was good value. I am saving money by not wasting A4 paper when only trying out colours or shapes etc, etc.
