Not the best, not the worst Cold Sore ointment
I purchased this because I get cold sores sometimes when I have a high fever, which is extremely rare. Oddly enough, I had a high fever this past weekend and I got one cold sore, (which is a relief as I usually get a couple).I used genizyne on it and while it coats the sore with it's vasoline-esque texture pretty well, (which therefore keeps stuff out of the sore), I don't think it necessarily made it heal and go away faster. Also, I wasn't a fan of the texture as it was extremely oily, and not waxy like I thought it was going to be. I can't judge if it dulls the pain as my cold sores don't necessarily hurt.Overall, as it didn't necessarily heal my cold sore faster than normal, I also didn't get any more sores so it may have helped with not letting it spread. i wasn't a huge fan of the texture either. Just with other meds that are supposed to do the same thing that actually don't, I don't think I'll get this again.*I have received this item free as a promotional sample in exchange of my honest and unbiased opinion.
