In Treasure Yourself, international supermodel Miranda Kerr offers her own view on how her generation and those following can achieve greater health and happiness. Miranda believes that one of the most powerful tools to facilitate change is positive affirmation and she has collected over 100 affirmations from some of the world’s most inspirational authors including Louise L. Hay, Wayne W. Dyer, Deepak Chopra and many more. Review: Inspiring and unexpected - I did not remember how I came across this book, maybe it was in my desertcart suggestion because I clicked on it once and refuse to buy it because of the preconcept of models are dumb, poor beautiful, rich girl wiht bunch of imaginary problems, that world is a lie. I think that I am quite neutral about Miranda Kerr because I knew her only by name and for modeling in VS shows, I had no harsh feeling on her nor adoring one. If you red some of my previous review you know that I am not new to this kind of book but that not always had good experiences with them. What this book did for me: - I embraced my body image, I am a tall, brown hair, green eyes and fair skin girl. Being Italian I always wanted to look tan, in the summer it was my obsession, I wanted for them to see that I was dark like a southern Italian girl. Whenever someone commented that I looked pale or that I had a fair complexion I would be so sad. I don't know why I had this mundane and stupid problem but I did. When the summer arrived I must be sunbathing every sunday and I don't even like to lie on the sun! Reading this book I thought F-it! I will accept my skin as it is!! I stopped using self tanning and started using fair skin makeup and people are complimenting on my skin. So I have to thank her for this book because it prevented me for ruining my skin. - I started Yoga and let go false ideas on spirituality: I always thought that I am a Company consultant I cannot be spiritual, what will say the CEOs of the company consult to hear that I do affirmations and yoga? They will think I am nut, and that I am not good enough. The fact that a business woman came out with this empowerd me to follow my path and do what I want to do and accept that for me this thinghs are important even though are called from a lot of people "positive thinking crap". I think that a lot of her success is due to this way of thinking, she is not dumb, she knows what to do and she is sweet but not "oh honey you are cute but empty type", she knows how to make decision and say no. - A world opened for me about nutrition and yoga and well being and this book makes her my fav public personality Regarding the critics I have red to this book (I respect the opinions but I give my point of view): - is easy to her to talk about outer beauty, she is super beautiful, we normal girls cannot relate: well, I do not claim to be a model-beautiful but before deciding to use my brain instead of my body I did some commercial and gained some money with my phisical appearence, people thought I was super beautiful and stopped on the road to compliment me. Did that made me feel really beautiful? NO. I felt ugly, too tall, too skinny, too "long nosed" and horse face. People considered me beautiful but I struggled everyday with my body image so much that i quitted my interest in that world, I tried so hard to be the smart girl to compensate the fact that I was not perfect, but you know, I was considered beautiful, so maybe I could not be smart... but eventually I graduated in economics with summa cum laude. -the book is thin and light: yes it is, I would have liked to read more about her experiences, because in my opinion she is keeping herself because of her public image and not getting enough personal (I gave her 5 star anyway because of the result of the book on my life). - the book is poorly written: I am Italian so I cannot relate on this - it is ok only for teens: I am 29 and can relate perfectly, maybe I am a bit immature =) Review: Inspiring - Miranda has proven an amazing author with this book "Treasure Yourself", and it fulfills the title, because I have been able to treasure myself more, as well as the world around me, as a result of this book. As someone that suffers from depression and anxiety, I have always turned to finding a higher self through yoga, meditation and other exercises. While they do help my mood and confidence, they don't exactly change the way I perceive the world. Miranda's lessons in confidence, acceptance and wishful thinking has inspired me to listen and look around more, be more compassionate, grateful, and optimistic, and driven me to pursue more charity work. I'm in the process of making changes to help the environment, and finding a charity or cause to devote my time to. All because this book has inspired me to do so. I find the mantra's at the back very helpful. I wrote down many of them on slips of paper, folded the paper into little origami stars, and put them all in a jar. Now every morning I take a star, unfold it and read my daily mantra. I should note that I have for many years dreamed of being a Victoria's Secret model, and so advice to chase your dreams and pursue your passion from someone that has achieved what I hope to in the future, is golden. Finally, I love the flower illustrations in the book, each draw by a different woman. Each flower is beautifully drawn, and very different from the next, and it reminds me that were are all beautiful, but in different ways. All in all, a lovely book. Hope this is the first of many to come!

great, but best read as a guide, not a "book"
Having Miranda's purpose in mind - the hope that the content in "Treasure Yourself" helps inspire young ladies - I have to say this was great to read. I was 15 when I got it and was going through a REALLY rough time in my life. This book helped give me short methods and ideas for learning more about myself and what I was worth, but it is only of great help when you read it as a "guide", rather than a book. I loved the affirmations and became really passionate about them, making my own and sharing them. I was so moved by Miranda's heart and so blessed that this book helped lift my spirits, I bought a few more copies to give to some of my friends. This book is geared toward pre-teens especially, and would make a great gift for a young lady unsure of their purpose, or feeling overwhelmed by so many new changes in their life. I cannot wait for her second book "Empower Yourself" coming soon!

Thank You
I would personally thank Miranda Kerr if I could. I bought this book; because I think Miranda Kerr is fabulous and honestly, I wasn't looking for any self help books. I wanted to see how she wrote, and she writes VERY well. She isn't as shallow as some people think she is, because she's a "super model" she has a head on her shoulders and knows that the best way to use her fame is to help others. I loved this book, and had trouble turning my Kindle off at times. I'm not ashamed that I chose this as my first self help book because it helped me discover things about myself. I no longer linger on what I could have done differently in past situations. I try to live every day as it comes and accept the challenges that come with it. You get a peek into her life, and what it's been like and how she didn't exactly have a smooth ride to where she is today. It's a very zen book and when you feel down about yourself, it's a great book to pick up and just know that there will be days like that; but it's a fleeting feeling when you have a supermodel telling you that you are a beautiful creature in your own respect. People come in all shades, shapes, and sizes. Learning to accept and treasure yourself is the first step to being truly happy.

Confused
Out of all the inspirational books I have, this one did nothing for me. Yes it's 'pretty' but it's SO topical in it's treatment of becoming a better you and loving yourself. It had so much potential but just didn't go DEEP enough, all the things in here I already knew, and I am sorry but the writing just wasn't very good (sorry Miranda!). Also, as a warning, half the book is just inspirational quotes (literally half--one quote per page...) honestly I felt a tad ripped off, I was hoping this book would be more 'enlightening' or original. Oh well, I would return the product if I could. But then the message on the cover is lovely, "Treasure yourself" but that's all I really got out of it.

Excellent, Simplistic, Timeless Wisdom
I am grateful Miranda made the decision to share her insight and the wisdom of others with us. This book flows with stories and anecdotes, some profound, others are just reminders. I can appreciate a holistic perspective that taps into the spirit of an individual. Thank you Miranda.

Positive and inspirational.
Miranda's book isn't just for women. As a male fan, I feel like I can resonate with her advice and life experiences. Despite how most of us perceive her to be so perfect, she opens up to us about her struggles growing up and in her modelling career. She's just an ordinary girl like everybody else. The book is filled with positive messages about being the best person you can. Miranda talks a lot about self-esteem, confidence, health, passion, happiness, relationships, gratitude, and a whole lot more. Everybody can benefit from the advices given. This was even a good reminder for me on stuff that I already know. Contains some pics and a collection of positive affirmations at the end too. Good read!

Sehr inspirierend!

Absolutely beautiful
I am a big fan of Miranda Kerr in the first place so it was only a matter of time before I bought this book. I really enjoy the simple ness but the powerful messages Miranda sends to the readers in this book. I would definitely recommend it to any girl, woman, (hey anyone really) who has ever has insecurities about their looks or self worth to give this a thoughtful read.

ottimo libro
