Mann Filter Fuel Filter - PU936/2X

Having grown up with a father in autobody repair business, I've learned to do many things for myself. So as an adult now, I continue to do as many DIY things to my car that I can. I don't need to pay someone a bunch of money to change some filters. However, this filter was bought for a diesel VW and it is not as simple as most. I bought the filter and my husband replaced it for me. The point here is, Mann products have been used by my family for years. They always have what I need and it fits properly. And at an affordable price for Joe Blow like myself.

It’s an oil filter not much to talk about. Does what it needs to and does a good job.

Works great for my VW TDI CJAA. Get this if you need to change the fuel filter. Don't spend more on a oem filter.

I own a 2005.5 new body style Jetta with the TDI engine. This is a direct replacement for the factory fuel filter. In fact, Mann makes the factory one as well so really the only difference is a much lower price tag and the lack of VW logos printed on the top plastic. It fit perfect and from what I've read, the little metal washer is only needed on certain ones. Depending on time of production, there were a few different fuel filter housings used, some will require the little washer on top of the housing some don't need. Just look to see if you have a screw in the center with a washer underneath. All in all I would recommend buying this rather than a cheap one from the parts store or the over priced one from the dealer.

Are use these on my 2006 Jetta TDI, you're supposed to replace the fuel filter every 20,000 miles. This is a very high-quality replacement filter. Buyer beware the old filter is very difficult to get out of the housing, be gentle but firm watch some YouTube videos and use the leverage of a flat blade screwdriver or to pry the old filter out. Once out installation is reverse. Finally do not over tighten the torques bolts on the fuel filter housing, they are very soft.

Not much to say other than I’ve used these filters for many years and have never had an issue. Great filters!

After combing over the internet, it was determined that there are 2 different "models" that could work for my TDI, but you have to check the fuel filter housing to be sure. This was the correct one for my car and it saved me a significant amount of money when I had the car serviced and it preforms flawlessly. Mann filters are what are used on the car new, so pretty much OEM here.

This is my 1st purchase of the Mann Metal Free fuel filter. It is the size indicated for my 2006 Jetta TDi. My cousin is a VW mechanic and he uses the Mann products often in his shop and is 100% sure of their performance. This fuel filter fits perfectly at a fraction of the cost of the VW OEM one. You do have to make sure the gasket is seated properly, but that is the same no matter which fuel filter you use. My husband performs the routine maintenance on my car so the convenience of having it shipped with Amazon Prime to my door is key because I live pretty far from the closest VW dealer. Unfortunately this is the first experience with a Mann product that I am unhappy with. I ordered it a bit ahead of when my husband was going to install it, so it is outside of a return or refund status with Amazon (lesson learned). The fuel filter seemed to install ok. The car seemed to be running fine. We drove about 5 miles away to a friend's house and half way home the car just stopped running. My husband took the filter off, reseated it and put it back on again a couple times, car still wouldn't start. He towed me home with our tractor and proceeded to put the old VW fuel filter back on. Drove it all over for about 30 min and the car has been fine ever since. It seems the gasket on the Mann filter was no good and wouldn't seal, and the removing and reinstalling to try to get it to seat and seal rendered the fuel filter useless. Expensive lesson, I am stuck holding the $26 and change bag on this faulty filter and I am not happy about it. I have since had to spend another $40 to get another VW one like I had on there before. UPDATE: 8/16/16: I decided to contact Amazon to let them know about what happened with this item, in case they needed to check it out to be sure it didn't happen to anyone else. I was passed the 30 days for return, and due to the nature of the item I wouldn't have been able to return it anyway because it was soaked with diesel fuel. I chatted with an Amazon rep and without hesitation I was offered a refund of my purchase price. I accepted it as a gift card as I had paid for it the same way - and was told it would be back in my account within the hour. By the end of our chat 5 min later I had already received the text that it was added back into my account. THIS is why I love Amazon, even when something does not go quite right. They make it right and exceed my expectations every time. I didn't even ask for a refund, yet it was offered. Well done!

Perfetto per Skoda Octavia TD 105 CV

Ich hatte letzten ein Erlebnis, dass der Filter von AutoDoc (BOSCH) nicht durchlässig war und das Auto nicht angesprungen ist. Also ist diese Filter sehr wichtig und bisher hat mich der Filter von Mann nicht enttäuscht.

Comprado para cambiar el filtro de mi golf v 1.9 bkc Es importante cambiar el filtro para evitar las impurezas en el motor y la pérdida de potencia. Importante ajustar correctamente las juntas que trae el kit del filtro. Tanto la que tiene forma de circunferencia como la central. Comprobar que ajusta correctamente las juntas para evitar fugas y malos olores en el habitáculo. La calidad del filtro me parece perfecto. Como todo en Mann
