Great Supplemental Option for Dog Health
My 13lbs miniature long-coat dachshund has skin issues so I have been sprinkling this over his meal for the past year and he likes the taste. (He knows it’s food time when this comes out.) It has a very strong smell so I try to twist the inner plastic bag to close it, before putting the lid back on. And I put the container in a ziplock bag. Also keep it in the fridge to keep it fresh and less smelly. Before I started doing that it started smelling in my pantry. As for the effect, it’s hard to tell but I do think his fur is getting fuller. And he hasn’t had IVDD ever since we started giving him this. I do prefer this over fish oil because of the least mercury contamination from krill being at the bottom of the food chain. Never had leakage issue. Overall I do recommend this to friends and families!

Fantastic quality product
The quality of this product is unmatched. I had tried other products with mixed results but this one is awesome. I bought it for my older Golden Retriever just for the benefit of the Omegas. He loved the taste of the krill when I mixed it with Greek yogurt. It made his coat so beautiful and seemed to help his joints too. Unfortunately he died unexpectedly from complications of a disease. I gave my brand new container to my sister for her Lab. She called me 5 days later and raved about the product. It seems her Lab had been lame from too much crazy playing and after 4 days of starting this product, she was tremendously better. About 3 weeks later we were talking again and she mentioned that her dog's coat was looking much better too. She is now a devoted customer of the Herbsmith Krill. If I get another dog, I will certainly use it again too. It's worth the price for certain.

Top notch for curbing allergies, supporting brain health and a inducing a shiny coat
Great product to curb allergies (paw nibbling) and give your dog a shiny coat. Also supports brain health. Better than fish oil because it's from the Antartica, and is at the bottom of the food chain so it's very low mercury!

Get Canned Mackerel in Brine Instead - this isn't working
Peeeewwww. I know its krill but I can't get my pet to eat it and it smells awful to store. I'm going to feed mackerel in brine instead. The actual fish is easy to freeze in bitesize portions and I get the kind in Brine! That is the safest. That is working better to buy a can of mackerel in brine, opening it, portion it out, into small containers or bags freezing it and serving with a little warm water. Mackerel has 4500-4900 mg per 100 gram serving.

Omega 3 oil alternative
Product works well as an alternative to omega 3 oil which my dog will not eat.

Stinky but effective!
My sweet dog has serious environmental allergies, because of this we’ve put her on a strict homemade diet that requires some extra supplements to ensure she is feeling her best and prolonging her health. Our vet recommended adding krill to her diet for the omega 3s needed to improve her skin and coat, and support eye and brain development. We switched from krill oil capsules to the loose powder form and couldn’t be happier with the switch, it’s easier to measure, less cleanup and she loves it. It stinks too high heaven but that honestly isn’t much of an issue considering how it isn’t in the bowl long enough to actually stink up the kitchen. We are on the third repurchase of this product and will continue to buy it for the quality, price point and ease of use.

Dog Lives It
UPDATE: It has been over a month. No negative effects! Dog still loves it! For now, the review is for taste only, but my large cattle breed LOVES this stuff. Of course, that last guy's review about his dogs' inflamed digestive tracts makes me a tad nervous. But again, my dog loves it, only used it for 8 days now, and I will update if I notice negative changes. I bought this in hopes of keeping his remaining eye healthy.
