This review is for the Irish Setter Wingshooter Steel Toe.I work for the railroad as a conductor, my boots take a daily beating. I work outside in all weather conditions daily; on gravel and inclines that surround the track, while averaging 8 miles a day. I have only worn these boots for 7 weeks or so, but I can say thus far they have held up, and look to be made to last.What I like about them: they are light, water resistant, and comfortable.Suggestions on sizing and before use: Order a half size down (I wear an 11 in nearly every shoe but 10.5 in this). Get yourself a good leather conditioner/water proofer (I like Obenauf's). I always get an aftermarket insole, if you want more comfort replace the insole before you break the boot in.I gave 4 stars but it could go to 5 if I can get at least a year out of these boots before the soles get destroyed (based on my work environment).

I liked the boots but unhappy with quality

First day wearing them the shoes feel great. They DO NOT pass metal detectors. They must have a steel shank but that isn't included in the product description.

Beautiful boot but leather seems delicate. Already sliced at the toe cap on first day. Not a good work boot.

Souls started separating after about 4 months of daily use.
