BAOMAIN Waterproof Enclosure Small/Higher Box for SZW26-20 Cam Switch

Review of 4 position/8 terminal switch and j box. More info in the video. Likes: came with everything required to install the switch (j box was additional), seems sturdy, but not operationally tested. After using the multi-meter, the switch configuration is clear. Dislikes: A drawing should have been provided. Terminals 2, 4, 6, and 8 are shorted to allow source power to the switch and connect to possible "power available" lights or coils. Perfect box for my furnace blower conversion to shop fan. You have to search for proper hookup if using multiple speeds. Simple enough.

I have had difficulty locating an enclosure small enough across its x, y dimensions so as to be unobtrusive and and yet deep enough to contain an ignition switch commonly used in generators (and other gasoline-operated devices). These switches are typically approx. 1.75 inches deep, necessitating this deeper z dimension. While a snug fit, this enclosure is the perfect profile, and even permits room for a flush fit in a standard recessed 2x4 Sheetrock wall (as is common in the US). I am very pleased with overall fit and performance of this enclosure, and have already ordered several more to keep on hand for future projects.

It’s quite hard to run wires inside this box, you can but it will be difficult. Wires bigger than AWG12-14 won’t fit. I had difficulty wiring AWG14. It has rubber gaskets. I’d prefer a bigger one (wider and deeper)

Used with cross over switch on duct fan. Had to modify to get it to attach but looks good and functional

Totally on me, checked that it was deep enough, but didn't actually pay attention to the full dimensions. It states very clearly that it is 2" on a side in the description. Seems sturdy, and I probably could have used it's big brother...

This did not fit a phase 3 switch even though description shows it does. Did not notice before return window closed, be sure to test fit if you buy one. This box is also incredibly small, almost like they do not understand you need wire attached to the switch when you mount it. Likely no good for a phase two either.
