The screw securing the ruler to the handle is an exercise in frustration when you loosen it to adjust the ruler. If the screw (which is spring-loaded, for some reason) isn't in the perfect position and orientation, the ruler simply won't go past it. I've spent up to five minutes trying to get the ruler back into the groove whenever it needed adjusting. Sometimes it works flawlessly, sometimes it doesn't.
