Stylish, Practical, and Perfect for Precision Pouring
This tea kettle with built-in thermometer has quickly become part of my daily routine. The 40oz capacity is just right for a few cups at a time without feeling bulky, and the gooseneck spout gives excellent control for precise pouring, especially for pour-over coffee and loose-leaf tea. The integrated thermometer is a standout feature. It makes it easy to heat water to the ideal temperature without guessing, which is great for different types of tea. The kettle heats evenly on the stovetop and feels solid and well-made. The matte black finish also looks great on the counter and stove. Overall, this is a well-designed, functional kettle that balances form and function nicely. If you care about water temperature and clean, controlled pours, this is a great buy. Highly recommended!

Best Purchase In a Long Time.
I bought this cute tea kettle after previously purchasing a very nice quality standard tea pot. While pouring the water into my cup, the steam gave me a really bad burn on my hand which took some time to heal. That was enough for me to decide to purchase this one. I like the size, I like the long spout and I especially like the thermometer on the top. Before ordering, I did not think the thermometer was such a big deal, but now I LOVE it! The kettle holds just enough water to brew a 16 oz cup of coffee, and a secondary half way warm up. If you do not have extra large mugs like I do, I think it would boil enough water for 4 regular cups of tea or coffee. It boils the water very quickly. I am a single woman who only drinks one cup of coffee a day, and this is a perfect product for me. I can't believe I took so long to order it. I like the matte black, (I am sort of a mini minimalist who decorates with mostly neutrals and black accents and this is a darling addition to my stovetop. I would definitely purchase this again.

Does the job it's supposed to!
This is a nice kettle, but you need to heat it slowly and on low. I have an induction stove which heats extremely quick and a strong smelling smoke comes from the bottom if heated too quickly. I love the fact that the thermometer is the handle and it has a clearly seen red zone for the perfect temperature. After each use, I let it cool and then turn it over so it dries throughly. I would've given 5 stars if no odor and smoke. Overall, it does the job and is cute!!

Cute Shape and Efficient Gooseneck Kettle
I first had pour over coffee while on vacation at a B&B using a gooseneck kettle and really liked the taste and the ease of making the single cup of coffee. After I got home I went back to the plastic pods and forgot about it. A couple of weeks ago visiting friends out of state, she was using pour over and I remembered how much I liked it. Before I even came back home, I ordered this gooseneck tea kettle with a built in thermometer that I am reviewing. I also bought #2 filters and a ceramic pour over coffee maker. It was waiting for me when I got back home. YAY! The kettle was very easy to assemble – just snap the handle on and insert the two set screws provided and screw the thermometer into the lid of the kettle. The kettle shape was one reason I ordered this one, it reminds me of a beehive and the black matte is really pretty. The kettle has three vent holes on the lid, which is a good safety feature to me. The thermometer on the lid has consistently been accurate, the probe does not reach the water in the kettle when I am using only 16 oz of water, so the temperature is based on the inside kettle temperature. The kettle is a good weight at ~2.5 lbs empty and the handle is substantial and stays cool. I noticed that after I empty the kettle, the thermometer shows the kettle retaining heat. So, after I am through making my cup of coffee I leave the lid to the kettle cocked to the side to be sure it cools down. Through trial and error, I have found how to make my perfect cup of coffee. I start with 16 oz of water in my tea kettle and bring to between 195 – 200 degrees. Having a built-in thermometer is such a great idea – you can see at a glance what the water temp is and it even has red marks showing the 195-200 mark. I use about 4 oz of the water to wet and warm up my ceramic maker and thoroughly wet the filter. After I pour that out, I use 3 tablespoons of my mushroom dark roast grounds to the rest of the 12 oz of water and it is perfection. This kettle makes using the spiral method so easy. I start in the middle of the grounds and have all the control I need with the gooseneck to pour the water into the maker and let the grounds bloom for about 30-45 seconds. Then I pour the rest of the water in a spiral motion and the 12 oz of water flows slowly through the coffee maker taking about 3-4 minutes to complete, which really develops the flavor of the coffee. At my friend’s house we just used a measuring cup to do the water pour over and it did not make the smooth spiral like this gooseneck kettle. The only thing that I am still learning is how to totally empty the pot into my cup. I think it is empty and then when I tilt it again, there are a couple more ounces of water. I wonder if that is just the gooseneck style holding a little water. I still prefer this style for a spiral pour over vs my regular teapot or the electric kettle. Since I am only using this kettle to boil water I won’t be cleaning the inside on a regular basis and I simply wipe the outside when I am done. We also have a water filtration system so I do not expect a buildup of minerals inside the kettle. I am completely converted to using the pour over method and enjoy the quality and taste knowing I am not using a single bit of plastic for a landfill or in my beverage.

Lovely to look at; DANGEROUS to use
DANGER! READ the negative reviews on this Apusu black 1.3 qt stovetop tea kettle. Folks warn that this kettle is poorly constructed, prone to rust, painted with a toxic substance, not easy to use as a pour over, smaller than it seems bc you can’t fill it to capacity, has a substandard thermometer, has nonexistent customer service, and is definitely not value for money. Hubby read only the positive reviews and ordered. Here’s our experience: we followed instructions to wash the kettle and boil a couple pots before use. First, we had a smoke bomb going up with a stench in the kitchen. Hubby turned on the vent and figured manufacturing didn’t do their job making sure the kettle was primed for retail. So, he tried again. This time he filled it, placed it on the induction cooktop, turned burner on high, and turned back to the sink. Luckily, I walked through the kitchen. The kettle was spewing water over the entire cooktop. Grabbing a towel, I was able to save the electronics. No whistle to warn it had come to a boil. I was ready to call it quits. He wanted to give it another chance on a lower heat setting. He only filled it halfway, used a med. high setting, but apparently wasn’t watching it closely, because, again I came to the rescue, sopping up the boiling water that was spewing from the spout. That was when I decided we’d better read a few more reviews. This pot shouldn’t be sold for induction cooktops. It’s a danger to the stove, and you. After reading the reviews, he agreed; way too many folks have said the same. Do yourself a favor, and dodge a bullet. We still have the burning chemical smell in our kitchen to remind us, we didn’t.

Quality product
Really impressed with the thermometer handled lid and the quality of the pot it's self...

Love this thing!
Upon arrival, you have to attach the handle to the base, with two tiny screws. Four screws and a tiny screw driver are included. Easy peasy. Kettle is awesome. Holds enough water for two cups of coffee. Heats to “coffee sweet spot” (per thermometer) in six minutes on my induction stove plate. Wish I had bought years ago to make environmentally friendly pour over coffee ☕️👌🏼👌🏼. If you need to refill the kettle you can do so without getting burned as it not super hot (as long as you don’t allow the kettle to continue heating after temperature reaches “sweet spot”).

¡Excelente!
La jarra es muy bonita, en la estufa de inducción calienta perfectamente y es comodísima. El termómetro funciona muy bien y tiene marcada la temperatura de ebullición del agua. Para usarla con métodos de café como la V60 es muy precisa. Me encantó.
