I bought this book for one sole reason; because Rick Day was involved with it. His two books, "Players" and "Players Two" are the most impressive photo books I have ever purchased, and anything he does is instantly on my radar for visual consumption. His work is the pinnacle of Male photography, and his use of the immaculate male specimen in his work speaks of someone who understands what his audience clamors for, and provides it in spades with style and admirable technique. If you are looking for a book that continues this trend, and gives a good example of what true male form photography should be, give this book a look. But I implore you to purchase anything by Mr.Day first; you can thank me later.

A beautifully presented book of wonderful bodies in sports 'attitudes'. If you are looking for bodies in sport action, think posed near and in sports gear. Many familiar faces and other parts. Loving attention to the erotic potential of sports. Good book for poses and models as I will use them in my painting.

Good photos

Whay gay guy didn't fantasize about the football captain back in high school? Very much a display of jock inspired testosterone on display within these pages. Hottie on the cover is well worth the cover price!

There is a lot of good in this book, it is a collection of photographers who specialize in sports style erotic photography with about 4 or 5 of each of their photos respresented. It's a great tool to get a sense of each of the photographers and each listing provides more information and a link to the photographers website. In this way it's similar to a catalgoue of the genre with fantastic full glossy reproductions on every page.The negative, and it's a big one, is that there is no frontal nudity. I don't understand all the playing coy, men covering themselves up with a towel, their hand, random objects. It just really feels like a tease with no payoff. I don't understand how you can have a man's butt on the COVER of your book but be too prudish to show nudity inside.As a result of this I returned this book, what's the point of having a book of male forms with only half the form?Another positive is the book has many pages and is quite long, but it just left me turning page after page thinking "Where's the beef?"
