This is a must for paella! It taste so good

My goodness, this is a great great purchase. The paella turned out amazing and I know it’s because of this sauce… the texture, the rich taste… just delicious.

The product tastes great. It's a tad on the "wet" side, but if you cook it down for a few minutes before stirring in the paella rice you'll likely have good results. I also found that this product isn't overly salty, which leaves room for additional seasoning (or not) at the end of the cooking process.

Perfect sofrito ! Taste is on point

I keep several jars on hand. Far and away the richest, best tasting sofrito I've ever tasted. Matiz is always reliable to top-quality Spanish products. Highest recommendation!

Very good for cooking Rican food

This bottle of sofrito arrived today in a package containing 4 other items. The package & bubble wrap were all intact & the other 4 items were undamaged. This Matiz, sofrito, however, had leaked - apparently some time ago. The bottle lid is covered in green mold & the bottle itself along with the bubble wrap are coated with a thick, gooey black mold. It is clearly inedible, in fact, it’s a bit scary. I took a couple of photos. but could not get them to transfer onto this review. I tried to request a refund, but for some reason I couldn’t get that feature to work either, perhaps because it is a food item. I will gladly submit my photos if I can get some tech help. I have ordered this product before; it arrived in good shape & was delicious. This time, however, it is disgusting. Please send me a refund.

We had a dozen people over for a paella dinner, too many for a one pan, so we had to cook two batches. I made mine from scratch and my son made the second using the Maiz Sofrito mix. In a side by side comparison the paella made with the Maiz sofrito mix was liked better than mine using individual ingredients. If you’re going to make paella try Maiz Sofrito, less work better result.

$30 wasted. Not returnable: perishable item. Bad news: lid seal didn't hold, lid was cracked open product leaked out. Good news: bubble wrap and tape around the jar didn't leak, keeping my other items in the box free of contamination.

Okay, I'm not happy. This is not cheap stuff and the bottle arrived open enough that half of the sauce had spilled into the surrounding bubble wrap. I would like a new bottle, please. These are photos of the way the sauce arrived.
