Packed with flavour and character
I've sampled a few of Coffee World's South American coffees and - questions of taste aside - I haven't been disappointed by the quality of any of them. They are all the finest quality single-origin Arabica coffee beans, and there's nothing wishy-washy about any of them - they are packed with flavour and character. The Honduras coffee is San Andreas Especial Lempira and it's a mild coffee with a medium roast that is quite different from the Italian roast you might be more familiar with from coffee shops. The flavour of any coffee is difficult to describe, and 'Chocolate, Blackberry & Raspberry' doesn't really tell you much. I'd say it's closer to a typical Peruvian coffee - which can be an acquired taste - than a Colombian one, but even that is too general a description.Saying it's an acquired taste however, it's a lovely alternative to the familiar coffee-shop blends, and this one has a distinct flavour that is very easy to get to like. I tried it in a French Press plunger first and didn't think it made the best filter type coffee, but it makes a nice espresso and a good base for a cappuccino. If you drink milk-alternatives, it also works well with almond and coconut milk.My preference is for the Coffee World Colombia coffee, but the Honduras is definitely nice when you want something different, but which still has flavour and character.

Mild, easy everyday coffee with a rich colour
This is a finely ground and slightly sweet mild coffee for easy drinking. It’s a fairly dusty set of grounds that scoops easily, and works well in a cafetiere, and pumped through a reusable pod in a Dolce Gusto machine. It’s quite pale in colour as a ground, yet the coffee it creates is quite deeply chocolate coloured, towards black. The aroma both before and after is not especially strong, but it does smell fresh and bright. The result is a nicely middle-of-the-road coffee that nobody is going to blink twice at if served it in a cafe. The pack I received was visually a little different from the current product photo, not just in the label design but in the shape of the resealable pack. The resealable pack I received was fairly neat, and quite tightly packed when full, when not much leftover space in it. The resealing tab is a tiny bit thin and fiddly but nothing unusual. The air valve is standard for this kind of pack.It believe it’s a mid-priced coffee and it’s eminently forgettable. If you are looking for a real cocoa-infused or fruity coffee and are getting excited by the tasting notes, don’t get over-excited- it’s a subtle profile at best. But it is very drinkable, and a good everyday brew.

Medium in strength, smooth and complex
I've never had coffee from Honduras before so was keen to give it a try.The packaging is simple but adequate although a roast date would be nice. The beans are medium roast in colour, mice and consistent in size and have a wonderful nutty aroma when opened.I ground them to a medium sized grind and the smell changed markedly after this with a lovely dark caramel smell emerging along with a nice level of smokiness to accompany the original nutty smell.I made the coffee in my trusty Melitta filter machine and I think this makes a great long coffee. There's a lovely nutty flavour along with a nice level of astringency. I can smell a hint of fruitiness but can't taste it, the same can be said of a sweet nuttiness like frangipane.Overall it's a nicely rounded coffee, medium in strength with lovely complexity and smoothness.I love it!I've used this coffee for a few days now and haven't tired of it at all. It makes a fantastic pot of filter coffee, the only real problem is that I drink too much when its this nice.I hope you find my review helpful.

Very Nice
I'm new(ish) to trying real coffee, having only really started trying it in earnest over the summer lockdown (2020). I never knew that there were so many different flavour and roasts to be had out there in coffee-land. The Coffee World range is especially good, I would suggest.; and I particularly like their Single Origin varieties. This one mentions blackberry, chocolate and raspberry notes. I can certainly taste the choc notes and there is a definite hint of blackberry in the aftertaste Not sure about the raspberry, but then all of us are different. This one is pre-ground coffee, but I've also been trying the beans, and grinding them at home (using both a blade and a burr grinder). I think there is a slight difference in the 'freshness' of the taste - the home ground beans being that wee bit 'fresher'. However, I'm not an expert or a connoisseur at all, and this ground coffee from Honduras is wonderful.I've used it in a French Press/Cafetiere and using an Aeropress. both give very good results. The packaging is excellent, too. Ensuring that the coffee remains fresh for a good long time.Recommended.

Good morning, day!
This a a vibrant, nicely strong chocolatty coffee - a note I'm always delighted to find in my brew. It has depth and body and gives a playful little kick start. There's enough of the bitter note to make me pleased i took a chance on making my usual strength for my morning mug of unsweetened, black Americano. 2 full scoops, 200ml mug, Bialetti stove pot. Perfect. I've recently been drinking a very lovely, smoother coffee but one which lacks a little kick to it, at breakfast, so have got into the habit of using 3 full scoops. No need with this, the mule raised his hoof with 2, and gave a little wild roll of his eye, hinting spite if ill usedI like the fact that this comes in a press seal pouch. I keep my coffee beans in a normal sized 227gm tin, and often have to somehow clip, bind and seal the larger packs to keep those undecanted beans fresh
