We have boiled this kettle 5 times and still a nasty taste. Is this right? How many times will it take??

It must be the water in your area. I boiled mine once, rinsed it out well and have used it ever since. It's the quickest boiling kettle I've ever had, and have highly recommended it. Have you tried using a descaler?

Is the viewing /water window bpa free?

Hi, thanks for your question. All our products are in full compliance with the REACh directive (1907/2006/EC) for substances of very high concern. This means that our Kettles have either no BPA or very tiny traces that are within the directives allowed tolerance. I hope this helps.

looked up BPA and now know what you mean. Most of the internal of the kettle and the spout are metal. There is a plastic window for water level but what sort of plastic it is I cannot guess. Maybe the manufacturer can help.

Is it quiet or noisy kettle

It is noisy but not intrusive and boiling water is very quick. So noise really isn’t a problem.
