Very good first impressions
Only had the blender a matter of days but impressed so far. It makes light work of any task and seems to be the equal of a Vitamix at a lesser cost. Longevity is obviously still to be tested but it seems to be a very solid machine, very powerful and easily cleaned.

Brilliant blender, does the job in less than 30 seconds
This is by far the best purchase I have ever made. I use this blender every other to blend soup, pepper or cabbage or aubergine or cauliflower for my keto diet. It always blends to perfection in 20 seconds. I haven't used the blender for nuts or dry stuff.worth every penny!

STRONG BUT WITH PROBLEMS
The metal teeth of the lower and upper drives (blender drive socket) almost completely worn out due to poor quality metal. Also the upper drive which is the extension of the blades are worn.The key cause of it is that the blender is movable and doesn't stay on the base while it is on and the slightest move makes the metal parts grind each other. It is an expensive blender and the engineers could have done a better job by preventing the blender from disconnecting the base during blending.Other even cheaper blenders do not allow it to happen.Apart from that it is a good strong blender. I have just contacted the manufacturer and hope they will help as it is still on warranty.Because I bought it from Amazon they agreed to refund me but I contacted the seller Optimum and they didn't even respond although I asked for the parts. Don't buy this product as it is not sold by Amazon now.

Brilliant blender
A brilliant blender and worth every penny!!! I use it every morning to make smoothies for myself and the kids and we all love it, far better than previous ones I have used. Highly recommend :)

Stick to Vitamix
I had a vitamix for 12 years but sadly the motor finally gave up. I debated long and hard whether to buy another one as they are expensive but the Optimum had such good reviews and was half the price. The bottom line is that it is just not as good. It couldn’t handle frozen fruit and I had to defrost it first before making a smoothie. After 2 1/2 years of occasional use the jug has shattered and it is expensive to replace.
