Anyone who knows me knows I am a frequent visitor to the dairy farms at Michigan State University. Just walk up to the fence in the summer and within moments they are all there, gazing adoringly at their guests. I talk to them and they answer with their little mooing. I can't get enough of their cuteness! To create this illustrated photographic print, I carefully and lovingly digitally "painted" it by hand, creating an entirely new image. The tools I use are a Musemee fine point stylus with my Apple iPad and a Wacom Bamboo tablet with my Apple iMac. Each original photograph is completely redrawn by hand - every inch of it. I remove elements in the photograph, re-draw other elements, change the backgrounds by drawing/painting new ones, change colors if I feel like it, and simply make the image what I see in my head.
