Works well for several things, but I used it a lot for heat sealing electrical connectors, and for removing light stringing from 3D prints that occasionally have that problem.

I don't know how accurate the temperatures are, but it worked fine for my two SMD repairs. My power cord was wired correctly so it seems that may not be an issue with newer units.

Avoid this one. Stopped working after maybe 4 uses.No air comes out, just gets super hot.

FIRST: The power cord that ships with this unit is the same trash cord that comes with all other Chinese Amazon Air guns. It isn’t wired correctly (line in and neutral get switched from side to side meaning a shock hazard is still present even if a fuse were to blow), and is a major safety hazard. I highly recommend you chuck the cord that comes with it and use a known good spare or get another. A few extra bucks can save a life.REVIEW:I’ve been holding off on getting one of these for some time as I do simple video game repairs. I finally pulled the trigger on this because it was in a small package and reasonably priced.Air Gun seems to work very well. I quickly tested it on a junk Gameboy Pocket board and it very quickly had ICs and capacitors ready for me to remove.Heat up is quick and temperature is easily controllable.Fan speed is also easy to control but do note that higher temps will automatically speed up the fan (perhaps to keep the wands temps in check). I have noticed that the fan pulses at higher speeds.I really appreciate the wands cool down function. Placing the wand in the included stand or holding the “setup” button will increase fan speed and drop the temperature before it officially shuts off. So no super hot tip is left.Overall I think this is a good value and I hope to get a lot of good use out of it. If it had shipped with a correct and safe power cord I probably would have given it five stars.

I just got this to remove a chip on a board but I'm impressed with it. Been using it to solder on SMD components and it does so quickly. I didn't want a huge base station and this fits the bill. Also it auto turns on and off when you place it on the stand and the cool down function is pretty cool. So far so good. If it lasts me a year I'll call it a win. Just make sure to keep the fan speed low so it doesn't shoot your smd components into the netherrealm for eternity.

I used this new heat gun several times and it has performed flawlessly on all tasks I used it. Great Value, well made!

Purchased 2 of these guns less than a year ago and used very little, maybe an hour total between the two. Now both have an error message OP. Past return date. Not happy at all.
