Great tools and case
These are great sets for the car. Fairly complete and hold the tools well. Have multiple sets in different vehicles and they've done well for many years.

How to unlock the slider.
High quality as expected by Crescent tools. I did have a problem with unlocking the sliders. There was a plastic pin preventing the slider from moving and I could not remove it even with pliers. So, I used a small drill bit to drill through it and then the removal was easy. The slider works well both unlocking and locking. Before I drilled it out, I sent an email a Crescent group located in Apex, NC asking for help on removing the plastic pin. I never received an answered and decided to drill it out. Oh! It was priced well.

Excellent value. Get one for the car.
These are excellent tools. The Crescent quality on these are better than before. I have had a set in my truck for the last 20 years that the case broke and got water in it that tore up the tools. The case is more robust on this one. Having the handle as a solid part of the case is so much better. My old case the handle broke after a couple of years. The case is pinned shut in the box. Pull really hard and the pins come out so the lock can be opened. I used a pair of side cutters to lever the pin out.

Portable and Versatile
I had an older set from Costco that I used alot over the last 20 years. It was $49 at the time. The only reason I had to replace it was because it got stolen. This set seems fairly close to the same quality as the old one, but I bent one of the wrenches the first time I used it. The ratchets seem like they should last. The sockets are 6 point, so there should be no problems with them. The case very portable and laid out well, but its not very durable. It has slid around in the back if my truck for a couple of months which cracked the handle. The smaller bit sets don't stay in place well. It fell out of my truck and got jarred open slightly. When I opened it a bunch of the tools fell out of the slots. My old box didn't hold up too well either. I think that this is definitely geared more towards being a household tool set or a secondary set to keep in the vehicle. I think it is slightly overpriced, thus I bought a returned set for $107. Pros: Many tools, including the most common sizes of wrenches and sockets. Versatility of both SAE and metric tools. Many different bits. In addition to ratchets, sockets and wrenches, it comes with pliers, a bit driver, screw drivers and an adjustable wrench. Very portable design. Cons: Fragile case that doesn't consistently hold tools in place. Thin wrenches. Lower quality screw drivers.

Worth what I paid
Got this set with two coupons offered by Amazon. These are not super high end tools however they are very good quality for the price I paid. They definitely beat out other sets at a similar price point. My use is the travel tools in my pickup. So far no complaints.

Cheap But Complete
I bought this to keep in my car, so I can leave my nicer tools in the garage. I purchased this set on sale for like 60% off, which is just about the only price point I would recommend buying this at. Screwdrivers feel cheap, as do the diagonal cut pliers. Sockets all look nice, as do the wrenches and ratchet wrenches. My only real issue is with the box, specifically the hinges. The plastic the box is made out of actually seems pretty tough, capable of being dropped or taking a roll in the trunk. The hinges suck though. I can’t speak to the durability (I’ve only owned it for about a week now), but they seem brittle and like they won’t last too long. There are two on the bottom and two on the top. The two on top are in a very awkward place, where you have to jam your fingers under the handle and really tug at them. You feel like you’re going to break them. But idk, they haven’t broken yet. Cheap but complete, enough to be used to do some car work on the go, but nothing to show off. 3.5 stars UPDATE: few months of banging around in my trunk and those hinges are still in fine condition. Tougher than they look

Definitely a must buy
I absolutely love this, the packaging and everything. I didn't have a problem to pull the securing pins, just pull them out forcefully with a pliers and you are good to go. Thank you Crescent, this item was value for money. Not to mention the ease of use, I will definitely be purchasing again.
