Kate Spade New York Kate Spade Vintage Cherry Dot Tea Kettle, 3.70 LB, Multi

Was so excited about this kettle, and researched fairly extensively before choosing the Kate Spade whistling kettle with a competitive price via this listing. It’s a premium price product but was disappointed when I got it - unlike all other listings of this model, there’s a slogan on the spout cover. This kettle has no slogan. In my view this is a key sales feature and the listing hasn’t made this clear. I wondered if it was counterfeit at first. Due to international delivery I waited several weeks therefore not logical to return, but would have ordered an alternative colour (with the slogan) had I known. The hinge on the lid spout is also different to those shown in the listing photos, and the function not as smooth as expected; this hinge design has more exposed components (see photo). The blue is nice and the kettle is weighty. I’ll be keeping it and appreciating the function, with a slightly lesser view overall given the missing design features and average quality of the moving parts.

Very nice and beautiful and good price.

Just arrived (in two days) and had to try it out. Less than a minute with an induction range, and half full. Handle was not even warm. Solid and with an blue enamel interior. Luv it.

This tea kettle gets 5 stars on the basis of beauty alone. It was just what my kitchen needed. It looks better than the pictures. As a tea kettle, it is very sturdy and has a loud whistle. However, the handle and the spout get VERY hot. There is no way to open the spout without touching it. You need to first open the spout with a potholder and then also use the potholder to pick it up by the handle. I didn’t find this difficult once I got used to it but almost burned myself at first.

I am IN LOVE with this kettle. The handle needed some tightening when I first opened it and I have a feeling it will again eventually but overall this is amazing! Highly recommend
