Does the job
I bought this to keep my neighbors from using my washer and dryer while I'm away...this does the job...I was able to put both washer and dryer cords in this contraption...I read through some reviews before i bought it...and someone mentioned...you have to open and close slowly...They were Right...it stops as though it's jammed but reposition it...then continue to open/close. I would recommend 👌 it!

does what is supposed to
does just what is is suposed to. It provides a warning that the plug should not be used. This is not a tamper proof device as some other reviews have suggested it should be. If someone is determined they can break it, but it is not intended to withstand abuse. It is a warning device.

A little finicky, but wonderful
This is a terrific device that allows me to lock up the plugs to both my washing machine and dryer to keep other people in my building's laundry room from using them. It's a bit finicky and requires some futzing around to make it close, but it works great, and I can still totally recommend them. They're a little snug for two plugs, but do still work, and I was delighted to discover that I didn't actually have to use the second one I bought.

Plastic, not sturdy enough, not much better than a sign
The overall enclosure is sturdy but the small tabs that are fastened by the lock are very thin. A quick twist of the lock and the tabs break off. This is good to notify users not to plug something in for safety reasons. It is not sturdy enough to keep kids from using equipment. It wouldn't need to be changed much to make it usable, just thicker rings for the lock.

Works fine for the purpose.
This lockout housing will hold up fine in normal use. We don't have any problem with it. It is excellent to immobilize cord plugs. To those that say it could be made stronger, you're right. But it's designed to be broken loose if the keys are lost or in an emergency situation. It is two plastic parts that rotate together and are interlocked. Just by its construction, it can be a little "sticky" when new, as some reviewers have noted. If you shoot some Super Lube Dri-Film lube in the channel it will work smooth as glass. Dri-Lube deposits a powered teflon film on the sliding surfaces in the channel. Don't use WD-40 or another liquid lube as it will hold dust and grit and eventually make it impossible to function.
